Silva(a former Middleweight champion) vs DC(current LightHeavyweight champ and former Strikeforce Heavyweight champion) As much as a spectacle this would be, DC would throw him around like he was nothing.
Especially with Silva claiming he hurt his leg kicking Bisping. He claimed a screw moved in his leg. So a Silva without kicks would have even less of a chance. Can you imagine Silva trying to get Cormier in that Thai clinch and getting slammed.
Imagine if it did though. Cormier landing one of those bombs on that fragile chin would be devastating. :yep
He's a great fighter so I wouldn't sell him short just yet. It's a really interesting fight, and UFC 200 just peaked my interest again!
He "was" a great fighter. Silva is old and is cashing out. He lost to Bipsing, and Weidman was manhandling him. If Weidman was manhandling him imagine a bigger guy in DC.
Yeah I've followed Eddie since his fights under the dream Banner. I thought he was the best back then, his run in the UFC solidifies that!! Most guys from different organizations don't make it in the UFC, And don't live up to their greatness they had in other promotions, Eddie Alvarez is the exception to the rule!
I actually kind of like it too... With all of the upsets in the UFC lately you never know. Jones/Cormier II was a proper top level LHW affair between the respective 1 and 2 of the division. But still... I'm excited too for some bizarre reason
