Like most business moves it's a joke of a fight.

It isn't the first time the top WW has jumped up to MW but it's nothing to get thrilled about from G point of view.

As a fan of British boxing I'm very hyped for Brook to pull the upset but realistically this is a walkover for Golovkin.

With Eubank, Jacobs and Lara all calling G out I'm disappointed he's took this fight.

Obviously I'll still watch it anyways.

You know him don't you? That's all that matters, at this point no one outside of Canelo will get him cred with the casuals anyway.

I'm kind of indifferent about this matchup not the best not the worse either, fighters move up in weight all the time usually though its a great fighter moving up for another great or atleast fighters of equal standing.
Neither Kell or Gennandy has done much and is each others best opponent by far, it is however hypocritical of the GGG stans who bashed Alvarez for fighting Khan in what was basically a JMW fight yet praise this especially considering Khan is more proven even at WW Alexander, Algeri, and Collazo would be Kells best wins after Porter.

Only thing this really tells me is if you put the money up fights will happen.

Not excited at all as a fan depending on how much he is getting it could be a good business decision. Big pay day for an easy fight, but as a fan I have no interest in watching a hard hitting MW bludgeon a natural WW.

Brook was a top 10 pound for pound fighter some months ago. Are you not following the sport?

Brook's nose got broken, bad fortune, and honestly he did well to cling on. He went to hospital after that one.

I would love to see him fight Canelo or Saunders. I even was looking forward to CEJ but they will sign with him. He has to take a fight and Kell Brook showed he had ***** to step up. What else was he suppose to do.

What makes it worse is that they NEVER intended to make the Eubank Jr fight. :dead

The only way this will be good for GGG's legacy is if Brook goes on to achieve great things after his loss , at 154 lbs and them 160 lbs. At the moment, this is a pretty **** fight that for some unknown reason will make both fighters career high purses.

I sure would like for Jacobs to enforce his mandatory sometime. He's taking his sweet time about it ...
