While I don't think this is the worse fight probably a 4/5 out of 10 can we please stop these baseless comparisons to try and pass this off like a great matchup.
Some examples cited Mayweather-Marquez, JMM was a 3-division champ a HOFer,P4P #2, and was coming off what mist feel was a win over the FOTD the tear before... Not comparable
Hopkins-Hoya/Trinidad yea both started in low division but both won titles at JMW & MW before facing B.Hop both were also already HOF/ATGs.. Not comparable.
Hagler-the big Three this is the most embarrassing one are we serious going to act like Brook is on the same level as Hearns a future LHW Champ, Leonard a future SMW Champ, and Duran top 10 ATG I don't think I need to state what they had done up to that point.

Even the most recent example with Alvarez-Khan which is more comparable only because both took the big money fight avaible to them. But for all of the flack I and others give Khan Alexander, Algeri, & Collazo would be the best wins on Brooks record after Porter.

Brook-Golovkin is a step up for both but can we please stop acting like Brook or Golovkin is the same GGG is an unproven hype job at this point and so is Brook.

    Golovkin unproven lol?

He is a silver medalist with 500 ams fights and He is the man at 160 and has 4 belts and has other champions like billy admiting they would get whooped by him

GGG would wreck every name you put in that post mayweather/canelio/jmm/khan all inside 3 rounds

Murray would be a tougher fight then the likes of those names he would take far more punishment

those guys only have marketable names but in a fight would get jabbed out the ring by golovkin

Do you get paid for this **** riding?? Golovkin has never beaten a top opponent ever his best win got flattened by another former WW in Cotto.
Y'all can perpetuate this myth that GGG is unbeatable and everyone is ducking but the truth is a lot of these fights don't happen because GGG is cheap.
Isn't Brook getting the same money Jacobs said he'd fight for? Brook is getting paid because Hearns put the money up and the pressure on, something GGG and his team don't do.
I guess its easier to hold on to making guys like Murray out to be a beast than to accept that fact that GGG is a hype job who has back tracked every time a fighter has called him out.

His Am accomplishments mean absolutely nothing. He is completely untested as a pro if you want to compare him to atg fighters. You act like the world of boxing has never seen a good jab before how old are you?

Doing fine fighting Cans. Stop bringing up his amatuer record as if it somehow validates what he's done so far as a pro.

I don't even think its THAT bad a fight plenty of fighters move up, let's just be real about it though. Brook has 1 good win that he s****ed by to get and has fought a who's who of bum's. I'll give Brook credit for being the most skilled fighter GGG has faced to this point which is really a bit embarrassing but I can't act like Brook is comparable to a Marquez or Trinidad hell even Khan yea he has losses to fighters greater than anything Brook has been in the ring with he also has wins at WW better than 90% of Brooks resume.

Golovkin is looking for guys he can make a check off of, if he has to play a-side and come up with cash you gotta be a 50-100k fighter. Only reason this fight and a potential Eubank fight would come off is due to the other side forcing the issue and putting up a check.

I don't think anyone is actually comparing him to legends as far as skills go, or at least they shouldn't be. I think they are just saying this is not the first time a welterweight champ has moved up to middleweight to fight a champ. It's happened many times before and it will happen again.

Brook has a history of ducking just like Khan, to say either should be favored is really splitting hairs Khan has his struggles but has beaten better Comp than Brook... Also Brook is scared of Spence so I don't see why you would bring him up.
