And how exactly do you get a big fight in the UK without a name? In that case keep on feeding Brook the same comp he has been fighting since Hearn puts up all the money anyways.

The opportunity for a bigger check would seem the logical answer.

JMM was #3 p4p and floyd hadn't fought in 18 months.

Ward gave Barrera his first lost at his first fight at 175, 12-0 with a KD.

I can understand why some people feel disappointed from a GGG perspective but I'm actually rooting for Brook, much respect for him stepping up. He gets criticized for his weak opposition and rightfully so but it's hard to hate on the guy now, even if he's getting a good payday, it's not like other fighters are lining up to fight Golovkin.

Hey..I'm a big GGG fan and I'll call it a BS fight and have posted that elsewhere ..however, I also don't see guys lining up to fight him. He needed to get a fight done now to fight again before the end of the year.

If this was PPV, ibwould not buy it.

eubanks just had to sign. jacobs is mandatory, all he has to do is enforce it. saunders is the lone other remaining belt holder. all he has to do is sack up.

That's it. Canyellow needs 10 tune up fights at 155 to "acclimatise" but Brook jumps straight in? Brook has steel huevos, Canelo just soft ones.

:good Agree here. Never seen a mandatory less inclined to enforce his claim.

GGG "Yo Jacobs, you gonna enforce your mandatory or what?"
Jacobs "Can I pay step aside money instead?"

Doesn't have to be only one.

A business move that is also a joke of a fight.

My only issue is if he was having such a hard time finding anyone credible at 160 to fight him, he should've started to look at viable opponents at 168 lbs (get his feet wet in that division,) or 154 lbs. He shouldn't have had to go down 2 weight classes to find opposition willing to face him.

I'm sure Lara would've taken the fight without hesitation. Also, I'd think maybe someone like Jermall Charlo would've been interested.

It does suck that guys like Jacobs, Saunders, Quillin and Lee don't want to fight the guy at least anytime soon. Gennady should really start thinking about moving up in weight if that's the case; I don't think too many of the top guys at 168 lbs would be as intimidated as some of these MW's seem to be.

Worse than Canelo dragging up Khan.

Canelo got ripped apart for that. Look at all the fanbois who say its a business decision when GGG does it:tired:barf

Hypocritical casual fanboi's who not real fans of the sport of boxing.
