It almost seems like a business move. Instead of getting KO'd by an unknown up and comer, he at least gets paid fat money to get (let's be honest) totally overmatched and destroyed by Golovkin and in the process looks like a warrior and will live off the "I had the stones to face GGG" for the rest of his career.

For Golovkin this is a disgrace that makes him look almost as bad as Canelo.

Brook has NO CHANCE here. NONE.

canelo had the chance to fight better fighters but he ducked and even his own mexicans admitted it

Golovkin had no choice but to accept this fight saunders,jacobs,eubanks/caneoo/ did not accept the fight

I opened similar thread two days ago, and some posters were very aggresive, I was called a sick person with extremely low IQ etc...But, this case is very simple : Better alternative for Brook is to be defeated by GGG and gain "monster cash" than to be defeated by Spence and gain maybe 500.000...Very logical business move. In any case, respect for Brook...I'm not sure who will be heavier on the fight night, but jumping two divisions is not the cleverest way for boxers... But, big money will be here....

It's like trying to avoid a crash with a beetle by swerving into the path of a Mac truck.

Well we shall have to see with Spence when he wins his next match, will he really want to fight Brook as Garcia,Thurman ect don't want him.

That is my point. Porter is pretty tough...but beat nobody... and he gave Brook HELL. Spence is a much better boxer than Porter is.

Brook vs Spence would be a good fight, but Brook takes an L. The Golovkin fight is laughable...I don't care what Brook normally weighs.

Hearn mentioned that he offered Spence the fight, but his people turned it down. Obviously, anything a promoter says you have to take with a pinch of salt.

Possibly, but Spence is undoubtedly the future of the WW/LMW AND MW divisions. :deal:deal:deal

He and Erickson Lubin and Big Charlo are gonna be ruling the roost at 160 when GGG is retired.

    Mark this post. :deal

Nah Brook took this because he's got big *****. Sadly he is tailor made for GGG not enough speed to get out the way and not enough power to keep GGG from coming forward.
Brook has taken a payday here and fair play to him. He's going to be the biggest name on GGG resume by some considerable distance..

You were called low IQ because it is stupid. GGG is the most feared and avoided fighter in the world so Brook is moving up two divisions to face him to escape a prospect he isn't even his mandatory???

I cannot even dream of some of the dumb **** you guys come up with.

Oh and the best part is he hasn't even ducked or avoided spence yet dumbass
