The ibf clause won't help though will it, whats the max golovkin has weighed in fight night? 172? the 10lbs overnight isn't an issue to golovkin because he's not a big middleweight. The face he tells you he can make 154 but only for floyd tells you he isnt so big. There would be no way in hell brook could make 140 which is the reason he's known as a huge welterweight. There will be around 5lb difference fight night i reckon.
The difference is golovkin is accustomed to fighting bigger men and brook is not

Who is golovkins best win? murray? lemieux? neither are world class fighters. People are putting golovkin on a pedestal without him even having to have to beat anybody in the ring,it's madness

A lot of people said the same thing about Khan Canelo, but the difference is there’s 5 more LBS in this one. They may be of similar size in appearance, but the weight advantage can’t be seen visually.

Like even with Canelo Khan, they were the same size, but Khan gassed after 5-6 rounds carrying that extra weight. It’s having the same stamina you had before for 12 whole rounds.

Now Brook may be able to retain his stamina at 160 where Khan couldn’t at 155 due to how differently they train. Khan was doing all sorts of crazy workouts, stretching his upper body muscles and stuff. Brook may approach this more naturally so he may be better equipped to go 12 at MW than Khan was. We’ll see.

Have you never watched khan? He gasses in every single fight after 6rounds? His legs ALWAYS slow down

My point here is brook will not be carrying any extra added weight, khan tried bulking up for the fight brook does not need to. He will come DOWN to 160 whereas khan walks around in the 150's. Kell walks around 165's....

Actually Khan said he walks around in the 160s in the lead up to Canelo. Both Khan and Brook are big guys.

Khan has been known to gass, but I think you will agree he gassed more than usual vs Canelo. You could see him starting to get lazy early in the 6th round and Canelo capitalized on that. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say he gassed worse than he usually does vs Canelo.

Then again maybe it was those body shots..

I can't really remember without watching again but it is a common theme that khan gasses later into the fight. I think everyone called that fight spot on,khan to win the early rounds but wont be able to go 12 rounds without taking some shots and surviving them.

Brook started pro at welterweight, khan started at 135. brook is a bigger man than khan. Khan could still make 140 if he really wanted to, he moved up for other reasons. Khan has also said he walks around in the 150's before... he just says what he has to before specific fights.

Ramirez is injured now, but it would be fine next year. Brook-Porter was pretty close, and in my opinion, this is not enough to consider Brook as WW No.1...Thurman ? Spence ? D. Garcia ? Khan ? Crawford and Postol soon ?

    You're a moron. Marquez went from 135 to 147...you're talking about going from 168 to 247 lbs...nearly 100lbs.

    log off.

I agree with this. However... I don't even think Brook beats Murray let alone Golovkin. Unless you've conquered 147...which Brook hasn't, it is foolish to believe he has any shot against a top MW, which Golovkin is. GGG is no Superman, but this fight is still ridiculous IMO.

Oh i know, golovkin is clearly the favourite and rightly so but the amount of hype that certain sports stars get nowadays through media and social media annoys me, especially when they'v done little for it. Golovkin has beat some decent fighters in good fashion, he's still yet to face an elite fighter though, theres been tonnes of fighters in history that walk through a certain level of fighter but then when faced with top opposition they fail... I'm not saying thats golovkin, but we'v seen it happen and we'l see it again.

I do agree with the brook thing and i don't think he'd of taken this fight had he been able to get the top guys at 147 in the ring, its clearly been a struggle and for the money he'l get he's been pushed into a very risky fight. He said on an interview months ago, if he can't get any 147 guys in the ring he'l move up and fight golovkin no problem.

That,s true, forgot Ramirez just got injured but What about Chunky DeGeale? I'm sure the British Boxing fans would rally behind him and pack a venue out there in England against GGG.

Dirrell, Love, Jack, these 168 lbs would of been better fight that would give GGG tons of credit if he were to come out victorious... but financially speaking only degeale would of been the bigger payday, in my opinion.
