The thing is Patel is a natural light flyweight, he came in at a 8stone 6lbs and that extra weight was not gained from eating clean believe me.

Juan looked 3 times his size in the ring, couple that with no southpaw sparring and it was always going to end in tears imo.

Didn't know Hinostroza broke his hand in the fight. So Patel had to be gifted a draw against a journeyman with a broken hand and his future's still bright?

How many times did he get knocked down? Reports seem to differ. If it was twice and should have been scored as such then he sounds like he was lucky to get a draw.

He won every round until the one and only knockdown mate. If it was a **** rounder he might of got stopped though.

Ok cool. So no contentious 'second knockdown' as people were posting?

No mate, but tht don't take away the disastrous result that it was.

Just been announced he's fighting Casimero for the IBF world title. What a ****take, he's not even fought for the british or even held any IBF minor titles.

The British market is so lucrative all the sanctioning bodies are dying to have British champions...

Its no co-incidence that Britain has 13 odd world titles yet we only have 1 fighter who is outright champ in his division and thats James DeGale

Seems an odd choice to skip British and Euro level and gun for a world title this early but they must fancy it. I've not seen anything of Edward's opponent so have no insight into how this will go but his team must be confident to take it now.

Anyone know anything about this Filipino guy?

I see it as pure disrespect to the british title. He's obviously thinking if he loses the world title fight, he can still come down and fight Selby for the british which is true, but its still bull****. Edwards vs Selby is the fight that we want to see, the winner can then fight for a world title and the loser can come again.
