Thats why for me i would always rank Golovkin over him

Kovalev might have more power but he can be easily outboxed.

the thing with Golovkin is he has very good boxing skills and his amateur record proves this.

Kovalev is fundamentally flawed his fight with hopkins never impressed me really he could of cut the ring much better.

I really feel ward picked him because of this reason and i strongly favor ward to win by UD

out of the 2 Golovkin is a more rounded fighter. kovalev lacks the skills to go with that power but he is a very destructive fighter though.

Kovalev is a basic 1-2 fighter with big big power.

Possibly, but GGG struggled badly with Kasssim Ouma, who is alot worse than Chilemba.

GGG was jet lagged and had flu and had a **** training camp read the history about that fight his arms hurt so bad every time he raised it and he still won

There's a reason GGG wants no parts of any slick fighters. eg lara , ward etc.

At least Kovalev has the gonads to face all styles.

GGG is a better all-arounder- more diverse offense, better balance & timing, chin, and conditioning.

Kovalev is closer to the classic up and down stalker archetype. Not one dimensional, but his offense has grown more predictable and a little stale as of late. He knows he's got the trump card with his power, and has gone through the motions a bit. GGG has done that too, but he's still more versatile.

With average power, GGG still has enough going to be world champion. With Kovalev, downgrading that power makes him much more beatable IMO.

One off night dosen´t meen a thing. Kovalev is very good fighter. He has a lot of advantages against any LHW. He has power, reach and footwork etc.

IMO Golovkin is better offensively and much better defensively.

Not "much" but yeah, Golovkin is a more skilled fighter for sure. Golovkin's balance, technique, variety are more impressive than Kovalev. Always thought so.

Golovkin looks like an actually schooled boxer but with power, Kovalev is a puncher with skill.

Kovalev left hook seems to be delivered with a pause, has limited range and that is his offensive weakest. Whereas some even say GGG left is more potent than his right.

Always has been. Golovkin has always been the much better boxer of the two. Golovkin is really good, and extremely difficult to hit clean when he doesn't want to. Just look at the Lemieux fight, he was very slippery while maintaining intact his deadly pressure

Kovalev is awkward in punching, and relies too much in textbook 1-2.

His right hand is too prodictable, and he doesn't use his left remotely as much as he should.

Golovkin use to teach kovalev like a student in sparring and use to beat him up
