Massive?? NO Hearns was massive. Vernon Forest was massive. Willimas massive. Brook is a regular sized welter. No bigger than Hoya , Mosley , Lamont Peterson. You nuthuggars defend him no matter what he does:tired
The sad thing about a lot of these posts is that the posters don't have any regards for facts or common sense. GGG never dragged Brook anywhere. Brook had put feelers out for that fight a while back himself and was more than happy to accept the fight as is. GGG made the statement that Brook was too small but that doesn't mean he has to accommodate Brook at a different weight when Brook sought and accepted the fight at 160. Hopkins never dragged Oscar anywhere. Oscar sought out the fight and a weight was negotiated and agreed upon. Tito moved up to 160 on his own volition. JMM called out Mayweather and they did agree upon a weight which Mayweather violated. However JMM had the choice to not fight and he chose to fight. Canelo is the only fighter to drag a fighter to a higher weight because Khan did not want the fight at 155 but rather at 152. Pressure from Canelo's camp persuaded him to accept. However, he still had a choice. Some gents write shallow statements without any concern or need to have a constructive dialogue.
hes 34 with a garbage resume fighting the lemiux and wades of the world, dragging up wws to 160 and ducking lara, ward, 155 canelo
OK, massive is an overstatement I went overboard the other way around but he's a big WW IMO, I've always seen him as someone who'll eventually move up at least 1 weight class. I'm not even defending him, saying he's a small WW is false, do you agree with that or not?
In forums people can always find a reason to support their argument. GGG bandwagon fans were all over Canelo for fighting smaller fighters but GGG turns around and does the same thing (as did Hopkins). In the end, it's all about money.
I must say while I don't think this is a great defence Brook is still a massive welter. I saw him the other year and Adam Etches vs Sergey Komitsky was the fight before and ge looked bigger than both of them. Golovkin should dominate this it depends how well Kell adjusts to mw but Golovkin is staying active fighting regularly and willing to face anyone at 160 lbs. The fact that so many won't fight him even though he's the champion says a lot.
Brook initially called for the fight at 155. Obviously GGG wouldn't even give up a single pound. He's a disgrace.
A lot of people are going around calling him a massive welter as a way to legitimise GGG's cherry picking. The guy would be small at 154. At 160 he is a non starter
so brook is not big ww have you seen the size of him? khan is much smaller and weaker and has no power compared to brook
I don't recall Brook stipulating a weight and it don't make sense that Brook would ask that being that he was witness to the fact that GGG would not come down for Canelo. The same contract that he wrote up for Eubanks Jr. is the same contract that he offered Brook. The only thing that changed was the name. Brook accepted that and stated that he was about to shake up the world so I can't understand why people are accusing GGG of dragging Brook anywhere.
