Chilemba kept Kovalev at bay for stretches by working the jab up and down, and was able to have some success with the looping right hook to the body. Andre Ward's jab is probably better than Isaac's due to its accuracy, and Andre certainly isn't shy about working the body.

I'd like to see how Ward fares against Brand before making any sort of prediction on this, but my inclination is that Ward's not nearly as likely to be outgunned and blasted out as some of Kovalev's supporters on this site would have you believe.

I followed the rbr report before watching the fight and I must say that kovalev won comfortably. He landed the better shots and even the jabs which surprised me given the accounts on this thread.

Jewish can refer to people who are not even Jews in belief although the they're not righteous because of the fact that they're from a Jewish background.

Perhaps, but neither is Ward as likely to clown Kovalev and make him look stupid for 12 rds as some of Ward's supporters think. Ward had a tough fight with Bika who is a level or two below Kovalev.

    Ward-Kovalev truly is a superb match-up.

It really is he's under no obligation to give them anything. He's not to blame for what happened it was just a tragic accident. :good

He also said he had some sort of health issue but him and JDJ decided to grind through it, he said he didn't feel light on his feet in this fight.

Win is win though, good experience.

Same here - just watched it, I'm shocked. I thought it was going to be some close nailbiter of a fight where sergey got gift rounds. Sergey gave him a solid beat down, just brutal at parts. Last time I follow a thread without being able to watch it myself. I can't believe one poster had kov losing the first three rounds. That's insane.

Anyway, I guess this is the second fighter to say he isn't going to lose to some race or ethnicity to have his ass handed to him. Seems Sergeys got a talent for that. I hope Ward thinks he has an easy fight coming. Should be fun.

He's a real decent guy to give his purse to the fighters family for a second time.

I am midway through the fifth round and am shocked at the clean shots the Krusher has been hit with. He has been worked to the body, jabbed to the head, hit with an overhand right and even smoked with a huge counter uppercut.

Based on this fight so far SOG has to be the heavy favourite. Even pascal nailed the Krusher a couple times and he has no speed at all

I just finished watching this (it was a 3am fight here) and although Chilemba did better than many expected, Kovalev clearly won the fight.

It was no robbery, it was a clear, although hard-fought, UD.

Is it possible that Chilemba, awkward and unconventional as he can be, is the best actual boxer Kovalev has faced? Is it possible Kovalev fanboys are starting to question his true diversity and talent now looking back at his opposition?

Kovalev, Jackson, and Duva have all taken turns making the exact claim after pretty much every single one of his fights... I don't get it.
