Has managed to bring the P4P king over to the UK to fight.

No-one has ever done such a thing. Edwardo deserves wonderful recognition for this and his services to boxing.

Sir Edward Hearn has a nice ring to it.

Er, Wazza brought Kosta over? And many more?

Eddie's feather in the cap is Wembley. Wazza is still leagues ahead if him, historically speaking.

Kosta was old and finished, GGG is in his prime.

    Fish eyes is yesterdays news.

All hail The Great Edward of Hearn of Dagenham.

Anyone could have done that Wembley show. It literally fell on his lap.

He deserves more credit for taking domestic clashes like Campbell - Coyle and Eggington - Skeete out of the glum Leisure Centres and into the Arenas. Makes the sport look much better and presumably the fighters make a better wage from it.

I don't think the Cardiff show backs up your argument! It's a great card!

Agree with that. I much prefer sky with one promoter exclusive rather than what we had before. Before we just a Mish mash of shows to try and fill the dates on the calendar. It didn't work and at least Matchroom tend to have fights in decent venues and more important venues which sell tickets.

Hearn makes mistakes as does every promoter but anyone who thinks his clueless is clearly biased. The guy knows how to sell fights and has come a long way from prizefighter. I don't think anyone back then believed Matchroom would go on to dominate British boxing and the be the biggest promotion in the UK.
