If Walcott was moved at Jeffries pace, he'd lose a higher percentage of his fights, and might have been retired by his 20th fight.

Jeffries fought top competition pretty much right out of the gate. He never lost until a comeback 6 years removed from the ring.

His ascension to the top is as fast or faster than anyone's, and there is a legitimate debate as to how many boxing matches he had. It's likely more than what is recorded, and this is going on reported KO's alone where the fight reports have not been tracked down.

Most historians who lived from 1890's to 1950's view Jeffries competition ( Fitzsimmons and Corbett ) as better than Walcott and just about all of them say Jeffries was better. They were there. You were not.

    Walcott turned pro at16!
    His resume includes:
    Louis x2
    Charles x4
    Marciano x2
    Fox
    Oma
    Layne
    Murray
    Bivins
    Maximx3
    Tandberg
    Johnson
    Gomez
    Ray x2
    Baksi

    Jeffries turned pro at 20.
    His early opponents include:
    Long .7 fights 1 win
    Lorraine .1 fight
    Baker. an overstuffed middleweight conceding36lbs
    Choynski .conceding a whopping 52lbs!
    Goddard .40 years old!
Jackson .37 years old, alcoholic ,consumptive, and hadn't fought in 3 years.

    Jeffries best names are :
Fitzsimmons 36 years old been retired for 2years out weighed by 39lbs!
Fitzsimmons 38 years old outweighed by47lbs!
Corbett 33 years old outweighed by 30lbs.Hadn't won a fight in 6 years!
Corbett 36 years old been retired for 3 years outweighed by 27lbs,won one of last 3 fights.
Ruhlin .Had been half killed by Fitzsimmons a year earlier. Sharkey 5'8" tall conceding about30lbs
    Sharkey " " conceding 32lbs

Apart from his crucifixion at the hands of a rampant Johnson, the one man of any quality who is on his resume and resembles what we would call a heavyweight is Gus Ruhlin and he had been destroyed by Fitzsimmons a year earlier.

Are you seriously suggesting that those old ,small, coming out of retirement ,versions of Fitzsimmons and Corbett that Jeffries faced are superior to the versions of Charles,Louis,Marciano, that Walcott fought?

Please show a verifed source from a respected historian that states Jeffries competition is better than Walcott's.

Don't forget fighting Elmer (Violent) Ray twice and the streaking Joe Baksi. Walcott's resume is far more impressive and diverse than anything Jeff ever saw.

You really are dense. I can list a dozen that Rate Fitzsimmons or Corbett higher than Walcott.

It seems when you're backed into a wall, you ask to produce soemthing. When I have it and post it here, you lose for the 199th time and simply reload.

You are beginning to bore me. Like I said you say prove it like the amateur you are and just hope it's either not on the web or me don't have it.

You are very weak. Just a few lists from people who rate Jeffries Competition above Wlacott.

It's rare to find Walcott in the top 20.

What you have listed is where those historians rank Jeffries and Walcott as regards there all time rankings, that has no bearing on the respective quality of their opposition !

    God God Almighty!
Now I have to explain your own posts to you!

This would actually be hilarious if it wasn't so pitifully sad.:-(

    I'm embarrassed on your behalf!
