.....after the joke fight of a money grab against Brook? Assuming Golovkin beats Brook and still can't land a meaningful fight at middleweight, should he show the same 'courage' Brook is showing and demand the winner of the fight between P4P elites Ward and Kovalev?

Why? If he can't get a meaningful middleweight fight after the absolute joke against Brook, who should he fight? Another welterweight?

There's no guarantee that GGG can beat the WW. I'm starting to think Brook has a serious chance at upsetting the applecart.:deal

If Brook is an absolute joke for GGG isn't GGG an absolute joke for Kovalev then?

No move up and take on a top 10 68 pounder first to get acclimated. Then after one of two of those sure why not

IMHO, no. Not according to the hype and respect he receives throughout the boxing community.

Of which most Golovkin's detractors strongly disagree with.

From the perspective of a boxing fan, the answer is undoubtedly yes. Why not? It would be very interesting to see how Golovkin does at the higher weight.

But we cannot expect fighters to take such huge risks such as going up two divisions to fight a p4p-level talent. We can and should applaud it when it happens, but it cannot be demanded.

I'd certainly respect him more if he did go up to fight Ward/Kovalev. But even if he stays at 160 lb his whole career, as long as he's willing to fight anyone in his division, he deserves respect.

    Why not?

I still think their are good fights at 160 and a couple at 168 for GGG, but he could fight the winner of Ward v Kovalev and win, lose or draw, come back down in weight again.

I doubt it would happen, though.

He needs to do something, if nobody at middleweight is going to fight then give up on that and just move on up. Not much time left to make a run
