Why isn't Rene Alvarado vs Jayson Velez on here, even though the odds are much closer than other listed fights, like the Lipinets fight? :think

Jeb Bush was nothing compared to our Right Wing governor, the most boring human being I've ever laid eyes one, check his ad out that we had to deal with. And the fact that he looks like a cancerous vampire bat it doesn't make it any easier.

Prediction on that one, CST? I'm thinking about laying a few bucks on it. Rene is less of an underdog with the bookies than Lipinets against Walter Castillo and the other fights this Friday/Saturday (Castillo whom I know you're a big fan of since the Obara robbery)

I think Velez is dreadful, and was badly reeling around the ring against non-punchers in his last two fights, both losses.

Slow hands, slow feet, robotic, was drained badly at 126 though this fights at 130.

Alvarado isn't a world beater, but is endlessly gritty with a high work rate, decent power, works upstairs and down. He's also beaten or had close fights with legitimate world champions... stopped Robinson Castellanos, had close fights with Rocky Juarez and years ago, Jezreel Corrales, who just blew out world champion Taskashi Uchiyama.

    Hmmm. :think

Hard call, which is why it should have been added. I lean Velez SD, I think he'll do just enough to edge it, and Golden Boy probably sees enough of an upside with him as opposed to Rene to let him have it.

Rene has a pretty consistent thing going on with Golden Boy, he's fought on their cards a handful of times now. Maybe they'll give him a break?
