Where do you rate Razor Ruddock's power in comparison to the 80's and 90's guys?

Was his power higher than comeback Foreman's?

It was most likely higher than Tyson's but without the same speed and combinations it was not as devastating.

Where was his power in comparison to Bruno, Bonecrusher, Lewis etc.

I read somewhere he's rated somewhere between 70 to 80 of the best punchers of all time.

Punch for punch I have him top 10 at heavyweight. Might even crack my top 5. His shoddy technique and tendency to throw one telegraphed bomb at a time cost him but for one-punch power I think he's as good as anyone. The shots he unloaded on Smith were some of the most uncomfortable I've ever seen and his knockout of Dokes is outright chilling.

Razor scored his two most dramatic wins against the shells of former big names Smith and especially drug addicted Dokes. A big puncher for sure, but relied on the left hand heavily and lost to EVERY elite guy he fought.

I am always suspicious of a guy whose power seems to drop when he faces world class competition.

Guy was outgunned by Tommy Morrison, so he was not that powerful.

Well he was powerful enough for Tyson to say he "hit like a ****ing mule" and that's good enough for me.

In fact, to this day Tyson says that the hardest punches he ever received were from Ruddock.

Have to agree. A guy with a huge KO record against sub-par or past-it opposition who failed at every attempt to beat an elite fighter simply shouldn't be considered one of the era's great punchers.

The punch you can't see is the punch that takes you out.
    He was explosive as hell.

That smash left might well have been as hard as anything anyone ever threw.

Ruddock's smash was a hell of a shot if it landed the problem was that when it was thrown it left him open to counter shots he did not use his jab much.when he took out bonecrusher and dokes they were past their best if he had took them on a few years earlier he may have got knocked out his self.A fight with Bruno would have been explosive with Frank setting up big shots behind his ram rod jab while Ruddock fires his smash at Frank trying to take his head off . Ruddock's power was up with bonecrusher and Bruno.hard hitting but hittable.

I wouldn't say top ten all time, but definitely top tier in the 90s which says a lot. He rocked Tyson a few times, but Ruddock got to a point when all he did was throw the smash with little success. He was big as hell though, punching power and physical strength are up there. Punching power Id say a 9. He was a big dude who could bang. He would lose to most elite heavies.
