Funny thing about boxers is that when they talk about who hit yhem the hardest it's almost never the guys who KO'd them rather it tends to be guys who either went to war with them or gave them a prolonged beating.
If he didn't fight Tyson he would have ended up champion, and if he didn't fight Tyson before he fought Lewis, Lewis would have been knocked out cold.
Power is the last thing to go away, especially clubbing poer based on body mass as possessed by a guy like Ruddock. He failed to KO a guy who was dropped by Carl Williams and Joe Hipp.
Tyson said in seriousness that Razor hit him so hard in the jaw that it broke his ribs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He likely would've knocked him out if not for the premature stoppage. They didn't exactly go 12. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
that's because he never said it :good instead he said that Razor hit like a mule and said he hit as hard as he had ever been hit (up to that point in time) you really jump to assumptive conclusions on your part and blame them on others don't you Wass? Or should i be banned for Trolling and instigating you unfairly with this post?
This is silly. A world class shot putter could probably hit a heavy bag with a slow, wound up John Wayne punch as hard as most heavyweights in history. We're debating a guys ability to knock out world class fighters, and Razor Ruddock just doesn't rate with the all-time best.
Yes he never said it so folk on here claiming otherwise are fabricating plain lies, something done often from Tyson fanatics. I think Mike would agree that Ruddock isn't the hardest hitter he faced in his career...
As far as I remember, Morrison was the one who almost knocked out Ruddock with terrific left hook. Then - yes, Ruddock unexpectedly got up and was stopped standing, but does it show he would stop Morrison late?
