It doesn't matter if he's with Haymon, or Oscar, or any other promoter. What does matter is he has a multi fight deal with Showtime. That's the deal breaker.

Lara/GGG is no where big enough for a cross network deal like Tyson/Lewis or Paq/Floyd

From what I've been able to google it appears he does. I've seen references to "2-4 fight deal" left on his contract.

If that is indeed the case, you know as well as anyone that they aren't fighting.

Yes, he's said in the past that he could make 154, which I believe he could under the right conditions. But again, he was all geared up to fight Eubank at 160, with only about a week to finalise the contracts and the press conference etc before both fighters started their camp. Under those circumstances he was never going to agree to a 154 CW, which is a weight he's never made in his 10 year career. This fight was rushed through last minute.

We know that Oscar, Jacobs and BJS either aren't in a position to fight or they don't want to.

I respect your opinion on why you think this fight is worse than Canelo-Khan. I can see things from your perspective and I can agree with your points. But again, Khan was selected to delay negotiations with GG, and Brook was a last minute replacement for Eubank Jnr. Again, the Brook fight was only due to necessity. So if you look at things from that perspective, Canelo-Khan was much worse.

It's not hard to work out.

To keep HBO happy he'd have had less than a week to finalise something before starting camp.

There's no reason not to believe them.

Eubank Snr's name has been tarnished and he hasn't even denied any of what's being said.

    That speaks volumes to me.

No good trying to debate with Shock.

    He's got deep psychological issues.

He's now made 28 GG threads.

He needs to be under 24 hour supervision.

I've been watching Eubank Snr for over 20 years.

If Eddie Hearn was lying, there's no way on earth Eubank wouldn't respond after 10 days.

    These fans are just reaching.

Eubank doesn't play along with anyone or anything.

There's always the chance that he's finally realised his son needs Eddie if he ever wants to headline a sky sports ppv and that having been outwitted by Fast Car he now has to keep his mouth shut regardless of what went down.

I'd imagine CEJ is furious with him and so put an end to his antics.

I applaud your patience with c0ckmaster...but all the well thought out posts, no matter how logical, will be lost to that troll.

It's as if c0ckmaster does no research at all...

I respect your opinion as always, but I think you're simplifying things.

Just go and read/listen to what Eddie has said regarding Snr. Look at the list of demands that included wanting to double the tickets and the PPV etc. Then take into account that although Snr's name has been tarnished, he's said NOTHING in response. That speaks volumes to me.

There's no reason for Eddie to lie, and I believe him and his father Barry, and Frank W, when they've all said that due to his huge ego, he's just impossible to deal with.

Let's not also forget that Brook would never have been an option if guys like Canelo and Jacobs had stepped up to the plate.
