Big GGG fan here and huge Canelo fan. Can't wait for this fight to happen ( F**k you ODL ) , but I don't think Canelo beats Golovkin and I'll be rooting for Canelo. Hard to be prepared for a fighter like GGG when you just fought Khan, Liam Smith and most propably Lemieux and Rosado. This duck wasn't your " let's marinate this to grab more cash later" , this was " I'm not gonna let you lose to a fighter that already has the appeal of the mexican fans and screw both of us". I think Oscar will listen to Floyd and will wait a year or two till GGG loses hope and moves to 168. I don't believe this fight will happen till I see them face to face in the ring. Most people tend to forget that this two sparred many times ( even though was a couple years ago) and by the way that GGG wants this fight so badly, I think he figured Canelo out and knows he'll knock him out.

I personally give Alvarez a good chance vs GGG first off if a 19yr old WW Canelo can give him all he can handle in sure a better more experienced one would do a lot better.

Styles wise GGG plays into Alvarez's hands as an opponent, and should capitalize on his speed and counter punching advantage I think Golovkin shows his toughness and falls by a close hard fought decision.
The dropping the belt thing looks bad but ultimately I think it comes down to making the money match the hype for the fight which sucks as fans but anticipation feeds our hunger which will make it bigger when it does happen.

    +1

It's gonna be massive and I can't wait... the talk around it. the 24/7 episodes, the media, everything is gonna be hyped af.

and this WILL NOT disappoint like maypac. meaning we can get 2 of these megafights. it's gonna be a hell of a fight.

It's when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. 2 trains colliding

Maybe because it's a close fight and Golovkin has a huge chance of victory making the loss of $500 quite a likely outcome?

I'm a huge, huge Canelo fan.

    Probably the biggest around.

I carry a picture of Alvarez in a heart-shaped locket wherever I go.

But I have to admit that Golovkin is more skilled and would lay him out cold before the 9th. Alas, I am so sad now.

Thank you sir, I try ;)

I love these guys that say they are big fans of so-and-so ... just before urinating all over the fighter they supposedly like. I thought I'd try it out :hey

You just said MMA fighters would lose to elite boxers in MMA.

So yeah, your opinions are pretty ridiculous. Canelo knows he can't beat GGG which is why he is ducking almost as bad as Mayweather did Pacquiao for 7 years.
