I'm sorry to disappoint you but i was not meaning the clark vs robert jnr fight, I've read what magindo1980 has said and it is even more clear now more than ever that mick snr will never allow that fight to happen. shame but true:good

i am thinking more along the lines of

jason easton vs lewis benson for the scottish light welterweight title

joe ham vs stephen tiffany for the scottish super bantamweight title

mick roberts jnr vs darren traynor for the scottish featherweight title

would love to see mike towell vs either john thain or kris carslaw

lewis paulin vs charlie flynn for the scottish lightweight title, my pal lewis was ripped off something terrible against charlie flynn at the scottish opens with some dodgy timekeeping and judging and i fancy lewis to ko him if they ever fight:good

 

Think you have just gave away who you are there John lol... Lewis is a bit small for Charlie and lost against poor opposition at the Hydro god knows how he got that decision. Saying that Charlie is not as good as people think so you never know.

Towell v Thain/Carslaw would be good the other fights would be a bit boring I think still I would like to see them. Surely you must want Lewis v Ronnie for the Scottish Title

Towells team won the purse bids for the British eliminator against dale evans,they are hoping to get it in Dundee.Could be a final eliminator too,not 100% sure though

 

Yeah but that's saltire who won it. Won't happen in Dundee though, if saltire ever go to Dundee they are being very brave ha. Only happens if Ronnie fights on card but o very much doubt he would. Jamie Wilson doesn't sell enough tickets and mikey can't do it on his own.

 

stop bumming Clark up mate, Towell and Wilson are much better boxers than Clark,he's finished, he's let down every manager/promoter he's had with broken promises and let's be straight here hes really not that good.

Can't wait to see you at a show seem to have a big mouth on here. As for Towell and Wilson being better that Ronnie. Firstly boxing is about levels and Ronnie is a level above both lads.. Both would admit it also.. Mike is closest and hopefully he beats evens and he will move up to the same level.. As for Jamie hes learning hopefully he can progress and do Dundee proud.. As for the show.. Fact Mikey sells a lot of VIP tickets has a solid fan Base of around 150-200 he can bring in good revenue.. Jamie would sell between 50-75 tickets probably cover his cost.. Problem is Ronnie would sell 400-500 tickets to a Dundee show do the math. Even with Ronnie fighting its a very hard sell would need both Mike and Ronnie to sell out their skin to make a show that big feasible. Ronnie v Craig Evans .. Mike v Evans... Jamie Wilson v Scott Allan and would need 3 more fights all scottish to sell tickets then might be able to make it achievable. I can not see that happening though

 

Where did I mention ability there? I said that he's a ticket seller and they need Ronnie to fight on the show in Dundee. He won't do it as he isn't willing to fight sell a heap of tickets to fight a journeyman while mikey is taking a massive opportunity. If he's to be selling Dundee he wants to be given a meaningful fight. Just how it is. And I like Jamie Wilson so your miles out trying to offend me. But fact is he sold about 50 tickets on a home show. Good fighter but he'll be on the west coast looking for opportunities.

i was at the scottish opens, were you:huh

lewis paulin dropped charlie flynn very heavily and after a very long count the bell was rang after 1:40 seconds in a 3 minute round. at the time charlie flynn's legs were totally gone and if lewis had managed to get him he would have been stopped 100%:good

as for the other fights, you obviously never watched the other guys fighting as amateurs have you? the only one that would have the chance of being boring would be jason easton vs lewis benson because lewis is a very boring fighter but i don't think he will manage to use his amateur tactics as a professional and think that jason easton is more suited to the longer distance:good

mick roberts jnr vs darren traynor, these guys fought on multiple occasions as amateurs and although i only saw 2 of them it was a great clash of style and imo it would be interesting to see if darren traynor still has the ambition or if mick jnr has the ability to do anything as a professional. traynor for me though late stoppage:good

stephen tiffany vs joe ham, these 2 were always in exciting fights together over 3 rounds, i always felt that joe ham seemed to get gift decisions against tiffany. i was at their last 2 fights and imo tiffany should have got the decision in both. tiffany on points if they ever fight:good

i also think that both kris carslaw and john thain beat mike towell, I've watched mike towell be outboxed by club fighters as an amateur and its only a matter of time before he gets outboxed and both of these guys would do that:good

i dont understand why you would want lewis paulin vs ronnie? that is a backwards fight for ronnie and if he were to get beat ronnie would be in a very bad position going forward. anyway at the minute i see ronnie beating him but give lewis another 6 fights and it might be a different decision. you can't judge lewis on walking on to a silly shot in his last fight atsch

 

I thought the caird hall show last year did pretty decent numbers no?I was out of town so couldnt make it lol.Towell seems to be gaining more momentum as a fighter and seems to be getting decent amount of publicity around the city now,I reckon the eliminator plus Wilson and a few other numbers would do well in dundee.maybe I am.totally wrong though

iirc there was quite a bit of in fighting between ronnie clark and mike towell for that show. I'm pretty sure that mike towell was being blamed for stealing ronnies sales lol

i also heard that ronnie was being a bit of a premadona and was sulking because mike was topping the bill? is that true daviddee1983 or jamie2011?

you would have thought that the dundee fighters would be sticking together to ensure that more shows and the possibility of bigger fights in their home town would have been the real goal rather than trying to steal each others fans or sulking about the position on the bill?

 

Wouldn't be boring to me but boring for TV I meant surely you understand that.. Yes I heard about the Paulin v Flynn fight but was told that Flynn did win.. Ronnie fought Charlie before he turned pro and was totally robbed was clear they had a plan for Charlie.. Lewis is quite small and seemed all out of sorts in that fight just past.. Yes he walked onto a silly shot but he still lost..I dont want Lewis v Ronnie would go the same way as the Roberts jnr.. Ronnie is British level he needs to prove he is the best by beating them.. I would fancy him to beat the winner of Ward v Townend so hopefully he can get into position

Billy Nelson did post last year that this relatively unknown fighter had already found his level.

Thought some on here posted that he was the next coming from Jock land after the Cornish Pasty and Bogging Brophy both humiliated on Sky TV.

 

Mike was topping the bill against a Latvian bin man and Ronnie was fighting a very handy fighter in Chris Addaway.. He was a bit premadona but the show was getting sold on his name to build Mike Towell and thats unfair as Ronnie has proven to be the number 1 fighter in Dundee.. Mike hadn't sold many tickets before but credit to him he pretty much sold out all his floor tickets bringing in i believe £10k I was told.. Mike sold about 100 tickets.. Ronnie sold over 250 plus but were more of the standard tickets.. Out of the 3 Dundee shows this had less tickets sold.. I dont know how Saltire did but could of only been 700 people there. Im not sure how sustainable it could be... Got to say was a good show though
