It doesn't seem all that detrimental to him here though, he covers up well and picks his timings, not really getting hit with many clean shots.

the crawford-postol fight better not be a snooze fest for the sake of fans who dished out 60 bucks to watch it.

    Round 2

Benavidez is ripping Santana with counter uppercuts. Santana bravely leaping in and flailing with hooks, low and high. Santana bopping his man wherever he can get a piece - over the ear, behind the ribs... HUGE uppercut rocks Santana onto both heels momentarily! Benavidez is pumping his jab and holding up his right arm, fixed in place to form a set of quillons to screen out Santana's constant spray.

    10-9 Benavidez

    20-18 Benavidez

if Santana's fists were as hard as his head he'd be the new tyson/golovkin.

Lol no worries, it was just weird timing because the 1st round of this bout in progress had literally just ended when you referenced "that 1st round..." :yep

Yeah it's a weird style, at one point he's a brawler and then he instantly switches to almost a slickster outsider type.

Would have liked to see Barbosa go a little harder for the finish. He should have left the ring with Melendez leg.

He is putting in hard work but not really sitting down on anything. These are basically all hard-swung arm punches.

Yeah, it's hard to believe. I remember hypothetical posts of he and Frankie Gomez facing off each other for the middleweight championship in Los Angeles in the year of 2016 or so.
