Nah, it was like the earlier round where Santana was briefly hurt (with the rabbit punch) - you don't automatically get a round just because you have one good moment, especially not when the other guy is outworking you significantly for the other 2+ minutes.

The same as my score, I think, via different route.

    That kind of bout. Close.

I think Benavidez will lose this or should lose this unless he really lands something big.

What a waste of natural talent. Poor condition.

    Round 9

Benavidez is boxing very nicely, having regained some fluidity in his lower extremities and letting straights flow into Santana's face as he follows predictably. Santana working, reaching in with the hooks, changing altitudes on them, but not getting much contact as Benavidez cruises around the Tecate logo and works the jab.

    10-9 Benavidez

    86-85 Benavidez

Wonder if Holly regrets not returning to boxing for the Braekhus payday...

    Round 10

Benavidez is bouncing his jab off the bridge of Santana's nose. Santana is diving in, sacrificing himself just to get a few sweeps across Benavidez's abdomen. Benavidez is answering in kind with his own sloppy hooking flurries and shoeshines as Santana leans in with his own. Benavidez faster and connecting a bit more, though both missing a ton or hitting bicep & elbow.

    10-9 Benavidez

    96-94 Benavidez
