Classless taunting at the end there for sure. Can't say that will do much to endear him to fans either. Personally I think he deserves a baseball bat across the jaw for that but that's just me.

I cant understand how any non-casual boxing fan wouldn't appreciate what Crawford did in there tonight.

Figueroa-Arakawa was as primal as it gets, I agree. BUt it was two equally skilled fighters willing to give it their all to get the W.

In Crawford/Postol it became very clear early on(as if the odds didn't make it clear enough) that Crawford was the more skilled fighter--so the fight was not even on a skill level--and yet he chose to play it safe for most of the fight. Again, I understand why he did it but if wants to earn the hearts and money of the PPV crowd he needs to do more than that.

Most fans want to see equal parts heart and skill.

that does require the ability to see things from more than one perspective, some people arent equipped for such complex ****ysis.

 I don't like seeing that when a fighter has already been dominated so thoroughly, especially if they're a nice guy as Postol is. I can understand if they're a POS or they've brought it on themselves by acting like a total **** beforehand, but that was definitely classless by Crawford.

Let put this into some perspective here.

Amir Khan who has ZERO chin to speak of, got in the ring with someone basically 3 weight division bigger and gave it his all, putting himself in the line of clear danger to try to beat Canelo. Yet bravely gave it his all from start to KO.

Crawford ran like a ***got for the last 7 rounds after he pocketed enough points to take it, on the grandest stage of all, his first, and hopefully ONLY PPV. ****ing disgraceful.

He could have put on a show and gotten Postol out of there, that I would have respected, but instead he had the whole of the MGM Grand booing him.

And you crackpots defend that? Boxing's popularity took yet another huge blow tonight.

Hate to break it to you, but you do realise Khan had the exact same gameplan? He just wasn't able to execute it.

This is what I don't get about boxing.

Guys with no ability like Santana get major respect, despite showing no ability or technique. People make no demands of showing an extra gear of them because they assume they're not capable.

Crawford displays the best skills and boxing ability of anyone on the card and because there's an assumption that he could have done slightly more and didn't blast his opponent (number two in the division) out, people complain.

People are more upset with Crawford than Postol, which is hilarious. Guy was pawing with his jab and didn't throw a meaningful punch for rounds at a time.
