Crawford and passive don't fit any kind of way. He is not passive about nothing.

New? nope that's old news. It's an American slick style it's been around for years. They are boring and yes it's part of the sport that can be rectified by rule changes otherwise they will continue to thrive under current regulations.

You're not the first poster who reads something and takes it in a completely different direction but Do you really think that's where the OP was trying to go with this?

I agree. Maybe that's why so many american fans are turning to mma and all exciting fighters are from other countries.

As long as the rules/refs allow to be mediocre and scared to be dominant and hungry for land punches the 'smartest' or 'sweetest' thing to do is score some points and stop fighting so they can win, get money, put the fans to sleep and be proud of being passive.

Before Mayweather v Pacquiao I remember Pacquiao fans on mass claiming Floyd wouldn't be able to win fighting the way he did as Pacquiao's output would be too much and enough to win rounds.

After the fight and Pacquiao's output being greatly reduced due to Mayweather's timing and expert of judging distance Pacquiao fans claimed Floyd ran.

You can't moan when a fighter doesn't fight a certain way to enhance his opponents chances. Great fighters are capable of making opponents fight a fight they don't want to fight.

Pacquaio won that fight. It was a terrible fight due to Mayweather, but Pac landed more punches, landed the more damaging punches and was the aggressor.

The result was an example of corruption. Even the given statistics were wrong and corrupt.

You can only beat Mayweather if you KO him, apparently.

Boxing is exactly what these guys are doing. Unless most of these judges are being bribed, you can't win the fight unless you are doing it according to the scoring criteria or by KO. I sense some bitterness and trollishness in the OP.

I have to agree here, I think the issue is they happy to go 12 rounds and bore their way to victory. It shows skill can't argue with that .. would I pay to see these people fight ?! NO
