Fury as he is today competing against the champion and contenders of 1900.Old rules, gloves ,and 20rds fights.
His opposition would be a ,returned to the ring 33 years old 188lbs Corbett,a 37 years old Fitzsimmons who weighed around 175lbs by then ,a 5'8"182lbs Tom Sharkey, and a relatively modern sized Gus Ruhlin at 6'1.5" and around 200lbs.And Champ Jeffries 6' and 218lbs
Fury is 6'9" and about 245lbs. How would he do in the old game?

I doubt that he would suit the rule set of the day.

A man of his height would have been an apple picker

Tyson Fury as he is today ... with his size and jab and movement ... let's see.

Tyson Fury turns 28 next month. If he was around in 1900, he would reign as heavyweight champion for the next 19 years ... until Jack Dempsey emerged.

Jeffries would be lost against someone that huge, with a jab and movement like Fury.

So, from 1900 to 1919 ... he'd reign ... which would make him 46 or 47 when he lost to Dempsey.

I don't know if Fury would fight black opponents if he was around in 1900. If so, I don't seen any of them beating him either. Jack Johnson, when he emerged, wouldn't be strong enough to grab Fury's arms and hold them down. Johnson never saw anyone that size with a jab or movement like that. Langford was a dwarf in comparison.

Fury would dominate. And people would consider him one of the greatest who ever lived.

In what way would he be deficient?

I think that he would struggle with the schedule, and probably the length of the bouts.

What schedule? Defending the title once a year? He's doing that now.

Jabbing for 20 rounds against befuddled, smaller men? I think he'd manage.

Probably loses to a few you wouldn't expect then the old school will use him to show how size doesn't matter and the new school will call dismiss him as a big oaf. That would get destroyed in the modern era.

I don't get why everyone thinks these giants are so strong. Especially Fury he's a fat boy.

What do you think the reaction would be if his walk up song was Cher's Gypsies Tramps and Thieves?
