As great as old John L was he would never beat Setanta in a fight Take care newb try to learn a bit more about boxing before you post here again you gave us all a good laugh here today with your idiocy
Everybody gets taken the distance eventually. Fury would have to be able to fight for 20 rounds to ply his trade in that era.
I'm actually a journeyman your the newb person who doesn't know what not talking to someone means. Same to you dear friend. Old John L looks at you in scorn now. You've also given me some great laughs with your idiocy and your love of fat old men. :rofl
I don't see a problem with him doing that given he'd set the pace with that "stick" and his movement. On the other hand, I do see the smaller, lighter guys who were used to going 20 rounds by leaning on each other and throwing a couple punches a round having a TON of trouble dealing with Fury. Most would have eaten so many shots from that jab and clubbing right over the first half hour to 45 minutes, I doubt most of them would make it 20. Fury would bring size and a style none of them would be comfortable with.
Schedule ? Could you be more specific? Fury has had 25 fights in 8 years. Ruhlin 43 in 13 years. Fitzsimmons 80 in 29 years. Jeffries 23 in 9 years [ I exclude his comeback]. Corbett 20 fights in 7 years Sharkey 52 fights in 11 years. Distance being 20 rds, do you envisage Fury having difficulty going 20rds with older men , up to 60 lbs lighter and 9 inches shorter? Men whose reach was: Jeffries 76.5" Ruhlin 78.5" Fitz 71.5" Corbett 72" Sharkey 70.5" Fury's reach is 85"
You are talking as if Fury was Lennox Lewis here. The bottom line is that you never know how somebody would handle fifteen rounds if they have never been past twelve, so assuming that they would be fine over twenty is a real leap in the dark.
Sigh woe to a world that things this Fury has good movement. Like watching a chicken with its head chopped off. :hi:
