I don't feel he was but to settle a dispute I've started a poll. And for those who may have more than one account here, PLEASE be honest and vote only ONCE. Thanks.

since when is 37 year old man prime in any cardio sport?

answer - when it involves a fight with a K bro, debating with a kliturd.

In Herol Gee's world only Klitschkos can be prime at 37, no one else :good

    Obviously not.

Lewis wasn't in top-shape, and he was nearing 38. He never considered Kirk Johnson as a real challenge, so he was a bit overweight also.

He clearly wasn't prime, he was 37, at his heaviest weight and his dedication to the sport was waning as shown in the loss to Rahman 2 years before. I first noticed a physical decline in the Tyson fight, he looked slower in that fight than he had been.

So physically past his best and mentally no longer there. He showed he was the more experienced fighter and got the win by adapting and simply hanging on in there on sheer guts and will.

Was on the slide .Hung in bit down on his gum shield and ground out a stoppage.thats the difference between a very good fighter and a great one.

Vitali was not prime either. Was carrying a knee and shoulder problem that retired him a year later, albeit after beating Sanders and Johnson. I don't recall Lewis having any injuries when he quit, just ran away.
