Allen recently said he boxed Joshua's head off & that he'd never been hurt in sparring over 500 rounds together. Allen also claims Joshua told him that he'd be a future World Champion. Claims after sparring many times with Tyson Fury that Peter Fury said you'd need two baseball bats to hurt Dave Allen. Could Dave Allen be something special or just a mad fantasist ?
I believe him. He clearly decided to box like a pile of ****e vs Gavern to lure us into a false sense of security. Yeah.

He's obviously just talking **** to build the fight. He also said you don't get invited out to the klitschko camp if you're no good which is a lie too cause you always see footage of absolute trash sparring partners training there.
I think he's either deluded, or just wanting a payday. Either way i'll be surprised if we see much of him again after saturday night. Whyte vs Allen a battle of two men who haven't beaten anyone
I'm quite sure he did, Allen like Tyson Fury has honesty tourettes. A stream of unedited consciousness that makes for a very likeable and charming fighter. And one with unshakeable self belief. Joshua will have improved a lot since then with access to elite level training, nutrition, 'other things', sparring partners etc. But Allen has posted enough photos, mentioned enough times and cc'd Joshua in and asked him to correct him if false ... that yep ... 2 or 3 years ago Allen boxed AJs head off and back then he didnt hit terribly hard by all accounts.
When questioned about this statement Allen said he held his own with Joshua & won a couple of rounds, talk about back tracking, even the people saying it was 2-3 years ago are full of ****, Allen is garbage & would never "box the head off" any of the 2012 Olympians even Breazeale, gotta love sparring stories though.
