Ward would make more than 2 million if he beat Kovalev and followed that up with a series of A-level opponents, but he has realized that Kovalev is not a very winnable fight, so he prefers to earn less fighting cab drivers because that's easy certain money. Only fearless fighters like Evander Holyfield fight all the best.

Let me get this straight. He verbally agreed to fight Kovalev to much fanfare with HBO and the whole boxing world talking about the deal. Then a few days later he decided to watch some Kovalev tapes? He was bored, sitting around at home and idly decided to type "Kovalev" into Youtube. And then he was like "oops, I goofed up, this guy is pretty good. I probably should have done this before I made a huge and well-publicized commitment to fight this monster". That seems plausible to you?
