Stevenson showed his great left but a little more, took big shots, picked his punches well, his timing was unreal with the last punch, but the impressive thing was how he destroyed the high guard of Williams by ripping his body, one second after he drop his hand to protect his body, he was out.
He is probably the #1 Haitian-Canadian LHW in the world...though Pascal knocking his ass out with a leaping hook would come as zero shock.
Kovalevs wide open for the straight left, those that think its a sure win for him are kidding themselves.
Campillo took all of William shots and stopped him on a cut. He quit in a cowardly fashion. Kovalev destroyed Campillo in 3. Williams power is vastly overrated. He KO'd E-Rod who Michael Seals almost beheaded twice. And Savigne who'd be KO'd twice before, so what. He didn't have the power to KO Yusef Mack a guy Super Middleweight Carl Froch destroyed Get a grip you kook.
:nod In fact, he can withstand a low blow and take one bang on the kisser at the same time without skipping a beat!
He's not WIDE open for it, but, he has a bad habit of backing up in a straight line when the straight left comes down the pipe and Stevenson's is really fast and really powerful. So, Kovalev can't get caught backing up like that because he could get knocked down at the very least. With that said, even though Kovalev has shown this vulnerability against southpaws, he has knocked them all out. The truth is, Stevenson is a one handed fighter most of the time. He doesn't like fighting how he fought tonight and Kovalev would be the best boxer Stevenson has ever been in the ring with. I'll take Kovalev's boxing ability and straight right hand over Stevenson's straight left hand.
