Stevenson showed his great left but a little more, took big shots, picked his punches well, his timing was unreal with the last punch, but the impressive thing was how he destroyed the high guard of Williams by ripping his body, one second after he drop his hand to protect his body, he was out.

 

Kovalev would knock him out. Kovalev is leaps and bounds a better boxer than Stevenson.

He's not WIDE open for it, but, he has a bad habit of backing up in a straight line when the straight left comes down the pipe and Stevenson's is really fast and really powerful. So, Kovalev can't get caught backing up like that because he could get knocked down at the very least. With that said, even though Kovalev has shown this vulnerability against southpaws, he has knocked them all out. The truth is, Stevenson is a one handed fighter most of the time. He doesn't like fighting how he fought tonight and Kovalev would be the best boxer Stevenson has ever been in the ring with. I'll take Kovalev's boxing ability and straight right hand over Stevenson's straight left hand.
