    In a slug fest, Beterbiev blasts him out. However, Ward is too slick and will maintain distance.

    Kovalev vs Beterbiev is a treat for the fans though. I think Beterbiev overpowers Kovalev.

    At the moment I think Ward edges it in a very good fight on points. Would not be surprised if Beterbiev won though.

    I've always said that Beterbiev is the worst matchup for Ward possible, worse as Kovalev even.
    Beterbiev walks him down, cuts him off, and is relentless doing that. Ward can't use his clinch/hold and hit method either because we've seen how he mauls out of that against other opponents and effectively ending the fight doing that.

    I can see Beterbiev having to come from behind, but I'm pretty sure he stops Ward

    Ward has the better wins of course but at LHW its open book until he proves himself there.

    Beterbiev is stronger and hits harder than anyone Ward faced but I haven't seen Beterbiev in there with anyone on the top level. Beterbiev is a good pressure fighter but hasn't showed me that he could beat anyone like Ward. I pick Ward by a wide UD.

    Ward for now. Beterbiev needs to fight more elite opponents for us to get a better read on him.

    He obviously has some impressive talents, but he has looked poor at times from a technical stand point. Against a slick fighter like Ward it is not impossible to imagine him getting made to look amateurish and only standing a punchers chance.

    I KNOW you're far more intelligent than your post Robney.

    Beterbiev can't throw off the back foot to save his life, and if I can see that, a master tactician like Ward would exploit it and keep Beterbiev eating jabs, crosses, and hooks for as many rds as he stood up on his feet.
