The usual "Mexicans don't fvck around". The good thing is that Smith has fought the best of the best from his division. I am sure that is why he was picked as Canelo's opponent.

Ever notice that Canelo was never an option for Golovkin until Canelo became a MW champion and all hell broke loose against Golovkin? From fans wanting him to move up to 168lbs and some even to 175lbs just so he can make room for Canelo. Just like when Martinez was at the top of the MW division, Canelo wasn't even mentioned, only Mayweather by both respective MW kings. Even Ward wanted a piece of Mayweather to meet him at MW! Now you have these excuses that Golovkin has fought no one when no one in reality wants to fight him at MW and use the "he has fought no one" to kill any hopes of a fight.

Don't get me wrong, Canelo is looking to fight Golovkin eventually, just not this year or the next. They will push for it maybe sometime in late 2018. For the mean time Canelo will keep on using his "he has fought no one" and be looking at fights like Liam Smith, Saunders, Lemiux, Geale, or any other GGG'S leftovers. That's just a weak azz excuse, similar to what Martinez used (and this is coming from a Martinez fan) to avoid your real and only threat.

I wouldn't mind if Canelo had .over back down to fight Andrade or re matched Lara but instead he's chosen Smith who in fairness would probably lose to Brook.

Canelo talks too much for the lone fighter in his own weight class.

He is right though. Who did GGG fight at 155? That's right, no one. He couldn't even make weight.

Yeah Saul, he could have had your scalp on his resume if you weren't a big yellow chicken.

All guys that run from him, run their mouth after how he didn't fight anyone... the irony.

Didn't GGG try to make a fight with a guy named Canelo Alvarez?? Isn't he somebody?? Why did he back down and run to 154?

Brilliant cop-out circular logic here. Fighters have used this on GGG for years. If nobody gives him a chance, they'll always be able to say he hasn't fought anyone as an excuse to keep avoiding him.

It follows the old saying of you need a job to get a resume, and you need a resume to get a job.

I wouldn't have a problem if these weren't "champions" in the same weight class pulling stunts like that and holding the lineal title hostage.

He also said " I always have given away advantages to my opponents but I will not anymore." What does he consider an advantage?? His opponent only being 5 pounds lighter than him on fight night?

Sanchez is on video saying they would willingly drop down to 154lbs for Mayweather but NOT to 155lbs for Alvarez. That's str8 puss right there.

    this excuse backfires ..

its somewhat understandable that a fighter ducks/avoids a real killer/one who destroys every good/elite fighter..

BUT ducking/avoiding someone who beats nobodies?isnt this worse?... hmmm...
