    Malignaggi is still limbering up, shaking his left arm while holding it down, jerking it around, resting his elbow against the hip and then flipping up jabs into Bracero's face. Malignaggi is creeping to his left and letting both hands roam by his waist protector, ready to swing up as needed to block & parry. Bracero is pumping a straight-ahead predictable jab out from his own chin, high & telegraphed, barking as he throws it, not finding Malignaggi with it. Quick jabs by Malignaggi to head and body. Malignaggi drops in a right hand and it gets caught on the back of Bracero's raised left arm. Bracero tries a right hand riposte but Malignaggi is able to quickly move away.

    Paulie is butthurt he didn't become a crossover star, that's one of the reasons that led him to have that rant about boxing being corrupt etc.

    To be a crossover star, you need to legitimately look like a blue chip prospect, and beat good names.

    Malignaggi is using jab-feints to keep Bracero guessing and then exploiting his edge in reflexes to score real jabs alternately high & low. Bracero is unable to get close to Malignaggi as he moves laterally and counters whilst gliding around. Bracero reaches in with a jab and eats a flush 1-2 on the face. Bracero inches forward and starts firing a right hand lead but pulls it as Malignaggi dashes in with a counter jab and disappears.

    Always liked Paulie - one of the reasons you mention being the key. Rare to see someone with so little power make the career he did.

    A very good boxer to watch at his best too.

    Sad to see him this slow and flat.
