I gave the close rounds to Frampton and it was a draw. Clean punching was winning early but activity and harder punches won the last 3 rounds as Frampton wore down a bit. A few gave the last round to Frampton, I thought that was a clear Cruz round.

yeah, Cruz has size but he's not much of a boxer. i think Oscar Valdez could clean out this division. that guy can fight.

Exactly. The 10 point must system can lead to screwy scores sometimes- a guy can do 1% better every round and win 120-108, and many straight up outclassings wind up much closer than that.

I was listening on the radio,Danny Jacobs had Frampton up with two even rounds in there, commentator had it 7/5 to Frampton.

Without seeing the fight it sounded close and whichever way the judges went it would of been hard to call it a robbery?

LSC clearly won this fight. His constant workrate outdid Frampton's sporadic quality in most rounds and I can say that without having a dog in this race.

You can even make a case for a LSC win based off punch output, since the punch stats were super close.. really, did Frampton really beat the champ? Idk

Definitely on the strong waters tonight, Seamus !

The only robbery there was the 114-114 card.

That man needs to eat more carrots !

I don't know, some guys tend to get bust up more easily than others. Still, Frampton actually wobbled LSC quite badly in the 2nd round who is normally a really tough guy whereas LSC barely managed to stun Frampton maybe once or twice in the fight who is actually more on the chinny side.

I don't give the champ any benefits, but just score the fight straight up. Maybe that's wrong but I'm not a professional judge.

A bunch of bitter mother****ers on here, they always go with the guy with more skill, but of course Leo is a Haymon guy, which trumps all reason and rationality. I never had a doubt Frampton would pull this off.

Too fast, too skilled, better at everything. You skills pay the bills guys should know better. And now you all sound like a bunch of bitter Bettys with a wicked case of sour grapes.:rofl

Bingo. The quality, measured work was largely done by Frampton. The fight, for the most part, was controlled by Frampton and Frampton, of the two, defended the best throughout the fight. In terms of aggression, it would be hard to say you could pick much between them, it was an action-packed fight - but I do think Carl was more effective.

Have you ever considered following synchronized swimming instead of boxing ?

    Or maybe tiddley-winks ?

    Or pocket-pool ?
