I heard a lot of comparisons between LSC and Margarito as it pertains to their style and attributes. But that is stretching it too far. Though LSC is a pressure fighter like Margarito he's not in the same league guys.

Margarito had all time workrate and chin. Legendary pressure and toughness. Let's not forget this is the same man who fought a razor close decision with Paul Williams. Knocked out Sergio Martinez. And put so much pressure on Cotto that he took a knee of submission not once, but twice.

Don't get me wrong LSC is a quality fighter. But this is the same man who could not even finish off a smaller, shot fighter in Abner Mares. Even while Mares came out like a madman and gassed halfway through the fight. And yet LSC was still unable to finish him.

No he is not. But he's still very good, in his absolute prime, undefeated and a 3 division champ. It was a great win for Frampton who was in total control for large portions of the bout.

Agreed. But if LSC is "very good" and he's an inferior fighter to Margarito than how would you describe Antonio Margarito?

Well Margarito (I know he's comebacking) but his career is essentially over to be judged. So I look at with different perspective than an active career. Margarito had a wonderful career if it was legit. The hand wraps really cast a black cloud on his accomplishments. Let's assume he was clean fighter. If he was he's borderline hall of famer. He took apart cotto, Martinez( early in his career), citron, clottey. Could of gotten the nod Paul Williams. And he was ducked for large portion of his career including by Mayweather.
Clearly better resume than LSC. But LSC last night was peak and prime and still very good.

Since his fight against victor zaleta. Santa cruz hasnt been much of a pressure fighter. He use to throw a beautfiul left hook to the body after every exchange and work the body real good Now hes become a headhunter.

    Excellent scarecrow, excellent!!

LSC is a hype job. When I would criticize his opponent caliber like that of May 2nd 2015,I would catch flack. He can't box and blamed the crowd for his loss instead of his one dimensional style.

Plus shaking his right hand before and after he throws it is a tell.

I never said he did. Still he was regarded as a good fighter and this is a very good win for Frampton.

True. But to call him a champion is a black eye to boxing.
I swear, the **** state of the sport is because the fans and scribes just accept whatever the big four ABC´s come up with.
