I think briedis could do something at HW as well as cruiser.his KO of Charr was brutal.is small for a HW but hits hard and is fast.
Hughie is winning the poll. I think he's too feather fisted personally. If he becomes the man at heavyweight imagine how many boring title fights there'll be zzzzzzzzzzz
I'm liking Granat so far, good height and walking through everyone in front of him makes for a good impression - I know Fury has good excuses to not be fighting or performing up to potential but at the end of the day can only go off what is happening right now.
Whenever a HW prospect thread comes up people always mention Ugonoh. He's 29 and he's been a pro for almost 6 years. He has faced absolutely no one good at all. I'm not particularly impressed by the current Hughie Fury, but he's so young and inexperienced that I can definitely understand the excitement. But Ugonoh? Old and zero accomplishments after 6 years in the ring? What do people see in this man? What has he got?
It's not old for a boxer. It's old if you're expecting him to suddenly rise up from what he's been doing, and show something he's never shown before.
Any boxer will look fast and strong against bad competition. It just doesn't mean anything. Featherfisted Tyson Fury looked like a KO artist in his early days. It didn't mean anything except that his competition was bad.
I think Izu has the right team to improve and move up the rankings but right now I don't rate him above some of the other names in the list mentioned in this thread, again Adrian Granat has my vote right now - he's starting to face journeymen and getting through them handily like you'd expect a prospect to. I hope they start pushing him a bit harder soon.
It's not old if you're already near the top. If you're nowhere near it, it is kinda old. It's difficult someone will pop up out of nowhere at that age.
Here's a nice wee interview with Granat by one of my favourite but not necessarily heavily followed Youtube Boxing personalities: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZSsFwKVw5g
There's no world beaters in this group but they would make good fights against each other but probably would lose to most of the top 8 (there's no top 10). Andy Ruiz and Hughie Fury I think are contenders not prospects as those guys are now reached a level where they could get a title shot and the rest of these other fighters have a ways to go yet.
