Not sure why there is such an obsession on this forum about a mythical condition known as 'glass jaw', seems one of the main talking points and yet has no real validity. This obsession basically wants to ascribe this condition to any fighter who is not a home town favorite on the basis of guilty before being proved innocent. It is assumed that if a fighter is not from your home town that he has a glass jaw and it just needs fighter A. B. Or C to prove it.
I think Burger Squad will KTFO Joshua next year! the Gypsy FatBoy will be retired spending the check he'll get after Waldo knocks him out cold... so... the Limey's will be fresh out of Contenders... at least as far as Heavyweights go... oh... and Grandpa Briggs Will KTFO Gaye! or Gaye will keep running scared and continue fighting Bosnian Cab Drivers!! :burger Burger Squad!!
Without a shadow of a doubt. AJ was out on his feet for about 30 seconds, Allen ate massive shots like M&M's all night and didn't bat an eye. The answer is yes. Its irrefutable.:deal
Joshua got caught with a counter and got wobbled, then recovered. Whyte seems to have a fairly strong punch so not to me, no.
Allen probably is a pretty tough guy. But the bottom line is that Anthony Joshua made Whyte look good. Allen made Whyte look bad. And that might say a lot. Especially in combination with the fact that all of AJ's opponents were of very debatable skill.
He did not "Almost have AJ out on his feet", he hit him with a good shot and wobbled him for 2 seconds. Henry Cooper, who was 185 lbs. dropped Ali, does that mean The Greatest had a glass jaw?
Stfu with that greatest talk, Ali was a fraud who had to fix fights to make himself look good. **** ALI His terror loving ass is where it belongs now.
If Whyte's power isn't overrated, then Dave Allen is the contender for the best chin in boxing right now.
There's nothing like re-writing history. So Joshua was "out on his feet" he simply wasn't, he was hit by a big shot was hurt momentarily but got himself through it. Shock, horror, fighter is hurt from big shot in heavyweight boxing match, that means "his jaw is made of glass" blah, blah, blah.
It's not so much his jaw that is the worry, it's more the fact he was caught by a wild swinging novice.
Well you can add in getting dropped by Whyte in the amateurs, getting rocked by Savon, repeatedly rocked by Medzhidov, Cammerelle and getting stopped by Nistor. That doesn't scream out that its made of steel either.
