Who do you think was the more exciting fighter to watch and who was involved in more entertaining fights?

Tyson was exciting because of his aggressive style and destruction of opponents while Holyfield was exciting because of his fan-friendly style and high dramatic fights.

Tyson was definitely more exciting. His punches looked ferocious, there's something about a Tyson punch that just looks so ferocious. The way he swings his body and uses leverage from his legs. The way his opponents are ****ing themselves as he's walking into the ring. The way the crowd goes crazy, his hype was unreal and he lived up to it. His fighting style is so aesthetic.

Although Holyfield in no way was boring to watch, he had a similar aura to Tyson as the CW king. He had some awesome knockouts over great opponents.

Yet another insignificant, boring, re****ed, Tyson fanboy thread, about which the Mods will do nothing, whilst they pounce on what they consider to be " profanity " by posters who have got better things to do with their time, rather than suck the genitalia of that filthy, CONVICTED ******, subhuman garbage called Iron Mickey.

Different types of excitement. Tyson gave us explosive knockouts in an almost artist form. Holyfield gave us epic battles that went down as some of the best fights of all time. Both were pretty damn exciting but in different ways.

These were my thoughts. It seemed like Holyfield matches always had something special for a time even early. Tyson was what was compelling not necessarily his matches.

Agreed. Tyson was more spectacular, while Holyfield bouts were more dramatic and action-packed.

I used to get goose bumps when Evander got into one of his back and forth exchanges with guys and the commentators were going crazy.. I was a teenager when he fought Michael Dokes and watching it on cable in my parents bedroom when they were out one night.. I was practically jumping up and down on the damn bed !!! Lol

    Nice! :good
His first fight with Qawi is one of my favorites and the tenth round of his first bout with Bowe is one of most spectacular I have ever seen. Holyfield was pure heart!

Except when he was beaten up, and KO'd by Douglas, Holy, Lewis, Williams and McBride. He looked far from exciting on those occasions. Still never mind eh, there is always footage of him beating junkies, alcoholics, and tomato cans for his fan boys to drool over.

I agree with the sentiment that both were exciting in different ways but I find Tyson more exciting then holyfield due to his superior punching power

    And Holyfield's not ??

They were both A+ exciting, and were recognized as such from the beginning, around 1986.

Tyson the more exciting fighter; Holy in more exciting fights. I know whose career box set I'd want to watch.

Tyson was electrifying for a while plus he had that unpredictable personality. But he never had a Dokes, Stewart, Bowe trilogy, Qawi, Foreman fight of the year contender. Evander's career seemed to be one long highlight reel.

Not as much as Tyson, certainly not. Tyson reinvigorated boxing with the general public such was the excitement and ferocity he generated. People love big power and crushing ko's, that's where the excitement truly is for most. Particulalry the casual fan. Even women knew who he was.

Holyfields great and was in many exciting fights but Tyson was on another level. The atmosphere was electric when he stepping into the ring and people, he could strike instantly and often did.
