The man legitimately does NOT want to get in the same ring with Rigo. I mean, it's cool that he wants to earn paydays and look after his family.

But how can he be considered among one of the greatest Irish fighters of all time if he DUCKS the best fighter available?

That's an insult to truly great Irish fighters. Did McGuigan duck ATG, longest reigning Featherweight champion Pedroza to become the man at 126? Did Fury duck Klitschko to become lineal HW champ? Did Collins duck Benn and Eubank? As a matter of fact, he was WILLING to get in the ring with a prime Roy Jones.

Why doesn't Frampton share the same courage as his countrymen? Does McGregor have to hold it down for Ireland?

Just to clarify, other fights that might be called ducks probably failed to materialize due to other underlying issues such as promoter, location or money.

Rigo was willing to fight an Irish bum in a co headliner in the UK for pocket change to get the opportunity to fight the Frampton/Quigg winner. Money/location is NOT an issue. Frampton just doesn't want to fight Rigo because he's scared ****less of getting outclassed by him.

it's not even the biggest duck this year. i think we all know who wins that award.

i don't honestly care about frampton ducking rigo because i doubt it'd be competitive - the real tragedy from a boxing fan's perspective is if a loma rigo fight never gets made.

If he'd have stayed at SBW I'd say yes it is.

As it happens he ducked him by leaving the division which whilst a duck at least shows some level of acceptance about it.

The Biggest Duck in Modern Boxing History is Riddock Bowes total Body swerve of Lennox Lewis,

He threw the damn Belt in the Bin :rofl :rofl :rofl

And History shows that this wasn't a Stunt to Promote the Fight he Truly wanted no part of him.

Honourable mention goes to Sugar Ray Leonard for Retiring/Ducking the Hagler Rematch.

Did you miss Ducknelo caking it at the mere thought of stepping in the ring with GGG?

Canelo is ducking a bigger, stronger man in fear of getting knocked out.

Frampton is ducking a semi shot midget.

I'm not sure if getting KOd is really worse than getting outclassed and looking average for a pro boxer. You can at least show courage against GGG, that's not an option with Rigo.

frampton is ducking a boring semi-shot midget to fight a top 3 guy in a higher division, canelo is ducking an exciting similar sized man while pretending to be the king of that similar sized man's weight division (for a long time anyway) to fight a chinny welterweight and liam smith.

Don't blame him. Rigo might be good but he's about as big a draw as Trump is in Mexico. Bigger fish to fry financially.

Not even close, dude. It goes.
    1.Mayweather ducking Pacquiao
    2.Canelo ducking GGG
    3.Hopkins and Calzaghe ducking Jones
    4.Stevenson ducking Kovalev
    5.Quillin ducking Korobov
6.Frampton and Santa Cruz ducking Rigondeaux (although that's probably Rigondeaux's fault more than theirs)
    7.Andrade ducking Charlo
I was thinking of those but wasn't willing to go all the way back to the 80s and 90s for examples. It ain't just the rematch Leonard wanted no part of. He kept Hagler waiting on tenterhooks for four or five years before the first fight, all the while stringing along Pryor too.

Let me stop you right there. First of all, what made LSC a top guy at FW? He beat Mares, a shot former Bantamweight for a vacant title who never looked the same after Gonzalez destroyed him in 1 round three years ago. LSC and Frampton were 2 and 3 at SBW below Rigo. They both ducked Rigo to fight for a paper belt since Walters(the real WBA champ) out grew the division.

You have to give Canelo some credit for at least talking about the possibility of fighting GGG. He even gave him an offer of 155 pounds, serious or not. Frampton flat out does NOT want to fight a smaller man in Rigo. He admits that Rigo is a great fighter, but does not want to fight him. He knows that Rigo would win which is why he doesn't fight him.

I call that a SUPREME DUCK.
