    I think Juergen Blin 27- 9- 6 won a round vs. Ali.

Blin had no business here. He never beat a top ten man, and his record is stuffed with journeyman.

What good is a decent chin when a fighter is tired and gassed?

If this was the only film of Foreman and you did not know his record, you think he was gassed and over rated as a puncher.

George went down. I think he beat the count, but it's clear he was mentally beaten and physically spent.

Which has precisely FUK ALL to do with Ali nailing Foreman with lead right hands in ROUND ONE which is what we were discussing.:patsch

It's easy to cope with something that isn't there. No way does Wlad win a single round against Ali when he barely threw a punch each round against Fury.

The problem with your argument is it's always the same one. You want the older, slower version of post exile Ali in these match ups. The pre exile one who got on his toes and danced just out of his opponents range forcing them to " reach " with their punches, so he could counter them at will was a different animal altogether, and would have made Vlad Klitchko look as foolish as the countless others he fought, and beat.

We are talking Ali at his best. Ali at his best had a quicker jab than SRR. There would be no clinching. No ropeadope. It would be the case of a large and relatively unskilled hwt being beaten up by a much quicker greater fighter. One sided battering that gets worse as rounds go by. Ali is just too fast, too sharp, too difficult to nail. This is why he is rated the best hwt ever to live.

Amen to this. I mentioned earlier about the skill level differences. Most of the fighters today are thinking of throwing the jab to the opening. Fighters from yrs past it came instinctively. Almost supernaturally. Countless hrs in the gym learning the science of boxing made a big difference esp learning from trainers who actually know what their doing. Where my proof? Look at the amateur system today. When was the last time anyfigher from the U.S.A actually won a gold medal. Last couple of Olympics none of any kind. A big difference in skill Level between Any heavy today and a Ali. Or most fighters from that era.

    Pathetic heroworshipping horsesh*t.

Wlad hardly lost a single round for the better part of a decade fighting at a championship level but Ali is going to walk away "unmarked"?

I'm not even saying that Wlad would win, or more to the topic that Ali was too small for the division (of course he was not).

Ali is not blowing him out early and thus would need to get Waldo in panic mode, something he didn't revert to for last decade of his career.

If Ali wins, it's going to be a points win. And that's probably what would happen.

In comparison Wlad can't fight a lick. Skill level as wide as the Grand Canyon. A fighter who was knocked senseless by Purrity, Knocked senseless against Sanders. Knocked senseless by Brewster. Is not lasting the distance with the best Ali.

    Three nothing's knocked him out.

Ali in his prime knocks him out. Obviously.

You're spot on. Those left hooks I've seen nail prime Ali were clearly miles better than Wlad's patty cake version of the punch, which couldn't land on an ostrich egg nor crack a quail egg if it did.

Three nothing's knocked Wlad OUT in comical fashion.

Liston nor Foreman nor Frazier could stop Ali (three greats) and only Frazier of the three beat him but in a bruising bout.

Ali of course knocks him out probably in comical fashion.

Wlad's chin is generally underrated. In a near 70 fight career he only has 3 stoppage losses. 2 of these stoppages had primarily to do with exhaustion rather than lack of punch resistance. He's never been stopped off his feet. Yeah Sanders had him up and down on the canvas like a basketball but Sanders was regarded as a savage puncher.

Ali doesn't have the punch to knock Wlad cold, if he stops him it's on a cut or one of those exhaustion tkos.
