Who has the greater career, Donaire or Gonzalez?

    If both were to retire today?

    Roman Gonzalez doesn't come close imo. Donaire has beaten better fighters across more weight classes. But Gonzalez does have time to catch up and possibly surpass him.

    Donaire has the better wins and more belts across weight classes.

    Donaire. Gonzalez might eclipse him before it's all said and done, but damn Donaire was on a roll for a while.

    Donaire- Darchinyan, Narvaez, Marquez, Montiel, Arce, Nishioka, Rigondeaux, Walters (6/8 ), 18 title fights, 6 weight classes
    Gonzalez- Viloria, Estrada, Sosa, Yaegashi (4/4), 15 title fights, 3 weight classes

    That's not even at all.

    He beat a prime Montiel and Darch while they were the man at their respective divisions, two bonafide HOF fighters. Gonzalez needs to knock out Inoue, Estrada and Ioka to come close.

    For now it's Donaire but Gonzalez will surpass him IMO. I also think Gonzalez may be the better fighter though Donaire at lighter weights was really beastly.

    Gonzalez is probably the greatest every FLW and below.

    Donaire was the champion at SBW but every other division was a paper belt.

    Gonzalez was the champion at FLW but every other division was a paper belt.

    Plus Gonzalez looks better on film imo.
