Norris had a less than great chin. Nine losses with four by knockout.
Leonard only lost once by ko and that was in his last bout.

So now we get to it. You want Norris to fight Leonard at 147 instead of his natural 154. I suppose you are also one of those moronic fan boys that wants to claim the Finch and Howard fights generated as much money as a rematch at 154 with Hearns would have done, as opposed to the weight drained Welter version of Tommy that he actually faced.

You are laughable. Some people are so stupid they don't even know they are stupid, and you are one of them. You are just like those mindless morons that fall hook, line, and sinker for all that god garbage, only in your case it is the con man Leonard, instead of some super galactic sky daddy.:roll:

Beating Leonard in his next to last bout is not beating prime Leonard.

Norris stats are horrible as compared with Leonard. I never realized how poor his record actually was.

but they are VERY MUCH in his favor; Norris 120, Leonard 106

as for Leonard being shot, he wasnt shot (see uno mas)

It's just that standing next to true greatness (Norris) Leonard only looked shot

BTW, couldnt find one journalist picking Ray to lose

You made that **** up - also called Monday morning quarterbacking (the result of poor sportsmanship)

Name calling, that really show your intelligence or lack their of. But prime Leonard would beat prime Norris from welter to super middle. He was just a better fighter without a GLARING weakness. A glass chin, like China chin Terry.

well, if it took him 11 pathetic rounds just to catch Larry Bonds, he aint getting his man in ten :smoke

    That's wishful thinking

The fight would go just the way it went; Leonard chasing, leonard missing

    Norris pitching, Leonard catching

Norris connecting, Leonard crumbling like a cheap deck of cards

I see an intimidated Leonard holding back for a few rounds after that, fighting defensively, trying to set his traps, only to hit the deck again (similar to round 7)

From then on, a demoralized Leonard resigns himself to the fact that Terry is too quick & too good and clinches his way to a one sided decision loss

This is like the Foreman-Frazier syndrome; Frazier can never get past Foreman

Leonard was way past his prime. Next to last bout of his career when he fought Norris. Result in no way represents what a prime Leonard would do to the chinny Norris.

too bad it was Leonard hitting the canvas, something which you cannot bring yourself to acknowledge

Dont you think you have a lot of nerve pointing to Terry's chin but Leonard is the one hitting the canvas?

BTW, most professional fighters carry their guard high and catch punches on their gloves

    What, you didnt know?

Did you know Norris was a regional amateur champion in the least talent laden area of the country? He then turned pro but really fought 20 more amateur bouts against the worst opposition losing two of these bouts in the process. Of the last 36 bouts of his career Norris was koed FOUR times. That means he was koed once in every nine of his bouts once he started to fight decent competition. Chinny.

Ray Leonard could never deal with slick quick boxers like Terry

That's why we see so many Dave Greens, Don Lalondes, Ayub Kalules, Larry Bonds littering his record instead of prime Hagler, or Micheal Nunn

If it were otherwise the case, and Ray bested both men, I might agree with you

It's also why the fight wound up with this score:

    Norris 120

    SRL 106

Did you know that Norris outclassed SRL by a score of 120-106?
