Whenever someone wasn't afraid of Tyson, he lost. Holy made him look like a scrub...twice...where was his fast bombs then huh?

I don't know where that stupid idea comes from. Ruddock wasn't afraid, Botha wasn't afraid, Ribalta, Tucker etc... Yet people say whenever someone wasn't afraid he lost.

I think the casual fans enjoyed the highlight montages more than the 1 round fight broadcasts themselves.
Tyson was exciting. And a bona fide KO puncher. But there was far more to the appeal than that. There was more to the image.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a good example of how image/appeal is a separate thing to being exciting.
Let's face it, Mayweather has drawn A LOT of casual fans and they've paid through the nose to watch his fights.

I don't think Holyfield fights were less exciting than Tyson fights.
But I suppose we have a different definition of what excitement is.

The stupid idea comes from Tyson being hyped as the baddest man on the planet...Yet the Real Deal was more bad than he was.

seeing Tyson unify the title with several stoppages as a near teenager was electric.

Holyfield is always admirable to watch, but neither his fights, nor did his success at HW, ever come as close to seeing champions getting serially koed fast by a midget kid.

 You're being a stickler, but yeah I'm either contradicting myself or too lazy to name EVERYONE that Tyson faced that feared him too much to be competitive.
