There is a very clear difference in frame and size between GGG and Brook

Not sure he can do it for 12 rounds though!

GGG is actually very easy to hit but you have got to hit him hard enough to make him think twice about walking straight forward at you. I don't think Brooks got the power at the weight to do that as GGG also has a solid chin.

He may look easy to hit. Opponents are never fully committed in fear of getting countered. Kell is going to have to be on his toes

I rewatched the Geale fight recently and I was quite surprised at the number of times Geale landed on GGG. Of course, the shots did no damage, but still...

I still think Kell will have enough power to trouble GGG. It won't be like Khan who had absolutely nothing to trouble Canelo.

Kell generates a lot of power from his technique, rather than just brute strength. Like GGG himself really. I think with a bit more weight behind him Brook will still pack a punch at MW. Although sure, it won't be huge power like a big puncher who is a natural MW.

Look at the straight right which finished Senchenko. Granted it won't finish GGG, but a few of those should have an impact.

I hear you, Brook is a solid puncher at 147. But he hasn't put anyone away that should be considered impressive at all. He hits solidly, but he isn't a power puncher at all

The punch prior to the KO landed clean as Hell, but other than that not much of it was clean. He parries a lot with his jab and a lot using his shoulder in a shoulder roll motion; him getting hit a lot properly is a myth

Kell brook is going to up it and show everyone exactly what hes about, i still think he loses for the simple fact that late in the fight if struggling ggg has the chin to just walk through brook

Do you think he's - ability wise - better than Golovkin? In all honestly?

Im not saying that i just believe Brook gets slapped down frequently due to his resume, which is deserved in some respects. I just think Brook is going to put on a performance which can leave no doubt as to his standing as an elite fighter, as i said do i think it will be enough for him to win? No

Said when this fight was made Brook could very well win, and I still stand by that. Golovkin is class but Brook could be his kryptonite.

Brook is a bit of a freak physically; welterweight but as Jim Watt would say, "he has a real solid look about him", I don't think the size will bother him at all, and could easily see a scenario where he draws Golovkin in, and pops him from a distance. Golovkin likes to move in with his shots, whereas Brook can throw and lean back. Stylistically Golovkin probably suits him more than Porter.

So when I say kryptonite, I mean in terms of range and distance. Brook's range - along with his skillset - is all wrong for him. Golovkin could still overwhelm Brook regardless - body shots especially- but really fancy Brook's chances of the pulling the upset; at least relative to the odds.

Anyone who thinks Brook stands a chance is missing the point of this thread. He has no chance in hell. A big Welterweight who went life and death with Carson Jones and then squeezed a points decision against a short but stocky Welterweight world champion has zero chance of beating a potential ATG Middleweight destroyer who will be moving up to Super Middleweight soon.

Brooks not even that good in the first place. I thought he lost the porter fight. Brooks stock seems to have risen more with hearn continually telling people that brook is this top top fighter. Watch his fights hes never been that impressive. Good enough fighter. But just not anywhere near people are trying to rate him at.

There's no 'too', he wasn't hurt against senchenko. Wasn't hurt against Jones either, just utterly knackered. And Jones still couldn't put him away. Stamina issues have been addressed fully.

GGG is in for a shock.

Brook won 8-4 or thereabouts. Neve a draw in a million years.
