Cutting weight is a product of modern day before weigh ins. Everybody cuts weight. Sergey Kovalev enters the ring at 190+ pounds. Terrence Crawford was 152 on fight night when he was at 135 pounds. Junior Jones was hydrating to 139 pounds while he was at 122 pounds. The crazy thing about the Pac is huge constituency (as I like to call it) is that they assume nobody is cutting weight except for Pacquiao. When actually almost everybody is. Cutting weight is just leveling the playing field because everybody is doing it. I really doubt Joshua is squating and benching massive weights and then still finding the time to train for boxing. And if he is then that's more evidence for steroid use. As steroids allow you to build size and makes it much more difficult to avoid overtraining.
But im making the point about him cutting weight to show you that him eating 7000 calories per day is a lie. He was always a weight cutter(yes like everyone) so instantly up until at least 135 he was cutting weight so no way was he eating 7000 calories per day. The next point is that fact that he has fights where he'd cut to 135 then weigh in fight night 144 so if he weighed in 144 this tells you its around his natural weight. At 147 he'd way in around the fight weight and fight night be around the same weight which shows you there was no cut involved so he was fighting at his walking around weight. He was not eating 7000 calories a day to maintain his weight at 5 foot 5 and weighing 145lbs he would just get insanely fat. the clip i remember seeing him bench he was doing over 100kg for a good amount of reps.. but again i agree he probably is on steroids, whats the point here? EVERYONE ELSE is... we're seeing at the minute tonnes of athletes caught on PEDS. Its a part of sports
Usually its clueless, fat armchair lardasses who think they can spot steroids from their PC screens. Just like poor, uneducated broke trash complains all millionaires are criminals and thieves.
He got in the ring at 143 against Marquez when he was fighting down at 126. He was 147 in the ring when he fought Diaz at 135
AJ on steroids, never, the guy looks totally natural lol. I like AJ and have followed his career but there's no way I could say his body is natural.
you do know you can get that physique with hard work and genetics? dont go assuming he's on roids without any proof.
I train with weights (heavy) and do cardio. I know what kind of gains are naturally possible. Sure I accept that AJ probably is genetically gifted. But even knowing that I know enough from my 3 years of training to know that IS NOT NATURALLY POSSIBLE. It really is TOTALLY NAIVE to believe AJ and many other top level athletes with that kind of physique do it naturally. I hear what you're saying and you have a point - but its the opposite end of the extreme - to the point of naivety. AJ after turning pro from amateur put on something like 30lbs + of lean muscle in a couple of years. He was already in his amateur days heavily muscled. C'mon wake up and smell the coffee!! Them kind'a gainz aint naturally possible...even for a genetic freak. And as pointed out already - AJ trains more cardio than weights, and his weight training won't be heavy like a body builder training for size would. An experienced bodybuilder after their initial first 12-18 months of noob gainz (the best you make naturally are your initial 12-18months) after that its slows up and becomes harder and harder to get bigger. The bigger you hare the less your gainz become till eventually you reach your genetic potential then you stop growing no matter what you do. Roids - here's where you can go way over and above your genetic potential. This is where most top level athletes are and so they all use. Its not who uses more a case of who doesn't...they are the odd minority. 1 pound of lean muscle growth per month is GOOD going once you're past the noob stage where your body grows the fastest/most. :deal Even the drug testing that accepts a testosterone level of 6x the natural average is already super suspect. And that's before athletes take measures to cover it up and beat the tests.
Interesting stuff,so then how does one keep such a pysique, does one have to keep using rods to stay that way? To be honest it doesn't bother me as I've accepted that they're all at it anyway, they all have doctors who will advise them about tests etc,it's just modern day sport unfortunately, crazy thing is I doubt any could go fifteen rounds.
Yes, if you come off steroids you will lose size. Spot on, as I said earlier in here, ALOT of athletes are on something, even if it's noton the banned list YET. They are all looking for an edge. Don't be fooled though into thinking the older guys doing 15 rounds weren't on PEDs, ofcourse they were. PEDS were around in the 50's or something, do you think nobody from older eras tried anything?
