just saw a tweet that says paul butler has moved on from oliver harrison gym already:think certainly didn't give that partnership much of a chance did he:rofl https://twitter.com/JoeG/status/761517326105735168?ref_src=twsrc^tfw this could actually be a good move for paul but maybe he is starting to realise that moving from arnies gym might have been a mistake? imo boxers should really start looking at themselves after defeats instead of just moving coaches, him and arnie were on a roll and they both seemed happy i don't understand why that changed so much? oh well all the best to him but i hope he doesn't get lost in the big stable that joe gallagher has and that leads to him not getting enough one on one time to help him get better and i also hope that he doesn't all of a sudden lose his cute boxing skills and starts the hands tight walk forward style of the usual gallagher fighters because that would be a serious waste of talent:good
maybe its just me, does an oliver harrison fighter ever win a big fight? No offense to him or anything just don't seem to ever rate his fighters
Well he has got a skillfull one on his hands now so we will see how good Gallagher really is. Tough division bantamweight ATM, be better if he could still make super fly.
Why would I be upset at Britain's Carl Frampton winning his title? Len, why are Ireland so **** at boxing? You don't have a single world champ. Pitiful.
Don't get me wrong his fighters don't use enough head movement and often during big fights his technical advice in corner is sub standard, example telling Quigg after 4 rounds he's doing well against Frampton and his tactics for Frampton v Salinas cost him victory in that fight too. Think he's a better trainer in gym than on fight night.
Like I've said before, he gets the absolute most out of more limited fighters (like Crolla), mainly because he comes up with plans to expose opponents weaknesses at a certain level. After that level, I don't think he does too well and his better fighters get held back (like Quigg), as there not used to just using there natural talent without following a set plan. I don't see Butler improving under him when he comes to the big fights.
Spot on mate !!!! I think he'll get more exposure and bigger fights under joe but in my (very amateur) opinion he'd be better with a Shane mc or Adam booth to improve him
