Good god so they said this was the best guy they could get? they could not even get a respectable guy in the same weight division that is closer to thirty than fourty that would actually try to win?

I think is possible the reason they could not get anyone better is they did not want to pay them fairly. Just speculation.

Brand is clearly a 40yr old who, in his prime, was a middleweight and now competes at SMW. Tonight he was a blown up light heavy.

Physically he was a slob and clearly two weight classes below Ward - yet Ward couldn't drop him. Kovalev is going to walk ward down and walk right through his punches. It'll be some brutal stuff on Nov 19.

Ward wil make good money, and he'll get a payday again when HBO makes him go back down to 168 to fight GGG.
