Just curious where everyone stands on this. Browne was busted for taking banned weight loss substance clenbuterol VS Chagaev. A number of people stated that they did not think that this was legit, mostly because of how useless the substance he took actually is. This one actually does look legit to me. Povetkin was found with minute amounts of meldonium in his sytem which led to the Wilder fight being cacelled. To me, this one is dead. The drug was only banned in Janury, and many people realized that the tiny amounts found could have been stored in his fat cells and released later. WADA has stated that he is cleared unless further evidence is found--meaing that he is cleared. The WBC has yet to agree. Finally, there is the Fury mess. 18 months ago, he apparently failed failed a UKAD test by showing trace amounts of nandrolone, which can occur natually in the body. This one also does not pass the smell test to me. Nine months after allegedly failing a test, he was allowed to fight for and win the title. He was allowed to sign a rematch, was "suspended," and then had his "sus*****on" lifted before it could ever be meaningful. This makes no sense to me whatsoever, and yet there are those who claim that he admitted that he must have "accidentally" taken it. We shall see I suppose. Vote and comment.
Povetkin has been cleared, the WBC does not like what WADA has said, they want to protect Wilder................
None of them look very legit. With Browne, it doesn't make much sense. Clenbuterol makes a huge amount of sense for a cyclist whose weight directly impacts their power to weight ratio. That sport has gone full on math where you can calculate a rider's times just by their power output vs their weight and dropping a kg can have an effect of minutes off a typical stage. For a heavy weight boxer who doesn't really have to make weight other than balancing his own fitness, clen doesn't seem to be a big factor imo. Maybe if we're talking a major weight cutter, but that's not a big heavy thing. Pov was cleared, end of case. Fury's case smells of bull****. It doesn't take a year to figure their stuff out. Run a CIR and its done, yet they do not and they do nothing for a year. This wreaks of politics or some backroom dealings.
I was initially thinking Browne was stitched up, but he was training with the Fury's and now that they have been implicated in their own doping scandal it makes me wonder if he was surrounded by an environment where cheating was acceptable and cheated himself. Povetkin has been cleared, he simply had residual amounts of Meldonium in his system having taken it prior to it being banned. Was it ethical to take a heart medication to boost performance, no clearly not, but it wasn't illegal. So in my mind he's technically clean but it has changed my view of him and I wonder if he will be the same fighter no he no longer has the advantage of Meldonium, can he finish fights strongly like before? As for the Fury's, it's clear that their sample contained Nandrolone, question is can they provide a valid reason for this in the NADP hearing. If they can't a ban will follow. So whether from intentional doping or simply because they took a bad supplement they are currently seen as cheats. That may change of course and they maybe cleared but the suspicion now will always be there, especially as a stable mate in Browne was also done for doping, where there is smoke there is fire.
But wouldn't he be then taking the SAME substance? Isn't this really evidene that both sides are innocent if you put it in that context? Many have commented that meldonium is virtually worthless and has never been proven to have any effect at all. Let me say up front that I would not agree, or else why would he take it? But I am sure that he can find something to replace it. We have been through this on other threads. It has now been 18 months (!), a title fight and another scheduled since the charge. I do not believe that it is as cut and dry as all of that. Well, that is what this thread is intended to answer. I don't hink it is as dire as all of that.
Why would they have to take the same substance? I'm talking more about being in an environment of doing whatever it takes to win including doping, it doesn't have to be the same substance. This is of course all speculation as Fury maybe cleared after the NADP hearing. Meldonium's efficacy maybe questionable but hundreds of athletes have been caught using it for it's supposed benefits. And you maybe right, Povetkin may just switch to something else. The whole 18 months thing changes nothing. We don't know what was happening during this time as it's pointless to speculate. Tony Thompson delayed his charges for doping by UKAD for 2 whole years with constant legal challenges and with Fury now openly suing UKAD, it's very likely the reason why it took 18 months for UKAD to charge the Fury's is for the same reason. But as I said we don't know all we do know is he definitely, 100% failed a doping test. Now it's up to Fury to explain the failed test.
yes this,so all of em,of course we don't expect em to come clean after getting caught which is why they'll look up various reasons as to how these substances could end up in their systems,Povetkin being Russian will have been part of the state sponsored doping scene at some point I'd of thought. Tyson Fury story doesn't add up either, again they don't look at it as cheating as its a level play field out there with PEDs.
Browne....clen is primarily used for fatloss through raising temp and metabolic rate. It does have other uses, as it is an effective brochodilator. Clen use in livestock has been banned for two decades in the US and Europe, so no tainted meat conspiracy is plausible. Likely real. Povetkin most definitely used meldonium. The timing of the ban, the subsequent grace period for acceptable levels, and the less than concrete understanding of the substance ability to linger likely puts him in the clear. But he did use it. Fury. There is no accidental or unknowingly taking deca. You don't unknowingly inject a substance intramuscularly. The likelihood of tainted supplements is low, although apparently real, although the jury is out on that amongst researchers. Even if it was a supplement,it is impossible to prove without a doubt that was the culprit...after the fact. Likely real. Minute possibility it was accidental.
All I know is that Povetkin used Meldonium after the fact. He then tried to mask it...and used the uncertainty of when it excretes from the body against boxing. He's a scumbag cheat and he tried to cheat. Boxing caught him and God was making sure that this scumbag didn't cheat using infinite conditioning for 12 rounds. He was scared. The other two I don't care about their situation. Povetkins pt job is knocking down vacant skys****ers with his head, defending Earth from Galactus by shielding Earth with his head and head butting planets and their moons into compounded rubble. Coward
None of them. All three cases have been political based. Browne beat chechenya's hero and got punished for that; Povetkin's levels were never over the limits to begin with; and absolutely ininfluential in those doses to boot; And lastly, the Tyson one, which is pretty much just a rumore spread by Wladimir's tentacles to try and **** him up. Wladmir knows Tyson will put the final nail in the coffin, the next time.
None...Browne was scammed.....pov was scammed.because Anthony Joshua signed with showtime tv deal which al haymon didn't want to jeopardise a future fight because wilder will most likely.be beat.....and fury is getting what he asked for from the Zionist jews
