No way in hell ward is stepping in the ring with kovalev. They will be looking for the smallest excuse to pull out of the fight. It's not going to happen.
Sometimes people signed up for a wedding and then get cold feet. I am not saying that is going to happen here, but just saying it does happen.
Hope not, but since the begginning I had this feeling that it's almost too good to be true and something will go wrong eventually. Guess I'm just cynical.
I was just about to start the same thread - you beat me to the punch :bbb Anyway, both Ward and Kovalev are past their primes but at least Kovalev has that one-punch KO power. Ward throws feather-dusters in comparison. Also... You need to look long and hard at Kovalev to realize just how good his tactics and adaptive-reactive abilities are. I believe Ward had taken only a superficial look at Kovalev when he started calling him out. I think Ward has only recently realized how good Kovalev really is. In fact, after the Brand fight, when Kellerman asked Ward whether he would fight Kovalev in November, Ward said "It certainly looks like we're gonna do it!" Looks like...:think
