There have been plenty of fighters at Joshua's height who have been bigger than 220-225 likely without roids. Lewis 235lbs, Bowe 235lbs, Coo.ney 230lbs, Tony Tucker 235lbs, McCline 260lbs. Hell even the walking windmill Wilder is 230lbs.
None of those guys besides Wilder was as shredded as Joshua. Of course it's possible to be heavier than 230 at six six if you don't care about bodyfat percentage.
I think some people are overestimating Joshua's actual size. He's taller but about the same weight as prime Lewis. He's the same height but 15-20lbs lighter than Jameel McCline. He's also a bit smaller than Michael Grant who at 6'7" was around 250lbs. Akinwander wasn't much lighter either. It's easy for big men to carry a lot of mass. Fact is there have been plenty of fighters close to Joshua's height who weighed as much if not more, though none have been aesthetic as him in terms of physique. Two people can be the same size and weight and look very different physically, depending upon bone structure, muscle insertions and body fat percentage. If you think he's doping just because of his size and mass alone, then you're wrong. Does that mean I think he's clean, no he's very likely doping, he could be clean but that's the less likely scenario. With recent doping scandals I suspect there are very few clean top athletes in certain sports like boxing.
true. can't test for HGH use unless it's a GH serum test at around 3 hours after injection (subq) because it has a short lived peak and short half life. It peaks at 3 hours and starts to leave the system soon thereafter. No anti-doping agency has found a way to accurately test for HGH use. It's benefits are in it's conversion to IGF-1 anyway. That stays elevated but can't prove that elevated IGF-1 levels are linked to HGH use, no direct correlation that says x iu's of HGH equates to x increase in IGF-1 points on a serum test. He wouldn't be silly enough to use long estered steroids. Peptides is where it's at for pro athletes.
Good genetics means 220-30lbs at his height with his bodyfat. Actually that would be incredible genetics. His stats? that would be unhuman genetics.
McCline was 263lbs against Wlad and he looked pretty lean in that fight, probably about 12%, maybe less. So at 8% body fat which is probably Joshua at his leanest, McCline would weigh 252-253lbs which is heavier than Joshua has ever weighed. As for Wilder, if he actually did some leg presses or squats, he'd easily be 240lbs plus, maybe more. http://static1.squarespace.com/static/5360fab4e4b0b4cb513691f8/t/538cd3e1e4b09a5665764700/1401738212362/jameel3.jpg
Takes one to know one maybe,Chael Sonnen says he can tell who's on what when they take their shirt off,I think that's really telling don't you think?
Any dedicated random hobby athlete is 220 lbs at 6"7 with a mere 5 years of training and mediocre diet. AJ is a prime specimen, with 15 years of amateur and professional training and 365 day a year dedication.
McCline never carried nearly the amount of muscle Joshua does and bone mass/density accounts for weight too http://c8.alamy.com/comp/D3B78H/dpa...-mccline-pictured-during-his-fight-D3B78H.jpg http://media1.faz.net/ppmedia/aktue....84905/default/wiedersehen-im-ring-jameel.jpg and neither does Wilder. Weight is more than muscle, adding some leg mass wouldn't put him over 240lbs. http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Anthony+Joshua+Carl+Froch+v+George+Groves+usfIbdn6kmfl.jpg http://img.bleacherreport.net/img/i...f8d0b085e7b60_crop_north.jpg?w=630&h=420&q=75
Not due to his side and weight. I'm 6ft1 and 16 stone. But you can't see my abs or shoulder striations. Its his side and condition that makes him suspect
How does this look suspect? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CoOlY_PWcAATgWw.jpg:large If anything he looks very skinny. He is NOT big.
Yes mate, he's definitely very skinny and not big at all... http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Anthony+Joshua+Carl+Froch+v+George+Groves+usfIbdn6kmfl.jpg
