I thought a split was off but they got the right man winning so it will be ignored.

    hahahahaha spot on

Fingers crossed for Okolie, he is a really nice young man, I've watched him box many times at shows.

He has a great story getting here and it's all happened so fast.

But, let's be real here Savon is excellent and should win with ease but I really hope Okolie does himself proud.

Okolie faces Savon. Savon arguably beats Joshua, loses the fight. Joshua wins gold.
Is Okolie going to win the gold as a result?

Okolie obviously didn't learn from the last fight.

Okolie adjusted very well after the knockdown, came out too overconfident and didn't jab until after the knockdown.

Every time Okolie jabbed, lent to his right and turned his head he got caught, Savon slid his own right hand down the left arm of Okolie, used it as a guide.

When Okolie jabbed and was upright, the jab landed and he was away.

Absolutely no disgrace in that performance and I am very pleased for Okolie that after Savon blitzed him in a round last time they fought he got off the floor again tonight, adjusted, dug in, took some very good shots and finished the fight.

People have to remember Okolie only started boxing to lose weight a couple of years ago, after 23 amateur bouts had booked his place in Rio. Very fast rise to that level and it showed against Savon.

If Okolie stays in the amateurs, continues to learn and progress he will be one to watch for 2020.

Yeah he did well considering. The experience discrepancy really showed, unsurprising given Savon boxed his way out of the womb (and is an minimum of 26 y/o :think) Particularly in the 3rd where Savon smothered and prevented Okolie from using his range.

I agree, it was always a huge ask and Savon used his experience and Okolie came up short, I expect him to improve and take a lot from this Rio experience.

Okolie is not a negative or unconfdent type, he will go away, brush himself off and come again.

He will face Dychko in the next round if he wins today.
